Unilever, the makers of Dove beauty products, are buying palm oil from suppliers who destroy Indonesia's rainforests. We've got the proof. They're causing forest destruction, species extinction and climate change. Together we can make the company stop destroying forests for palm oil. Well, as written by Greenpeace: Greenpeace is not calling for a boycott. They are asking Unilever to act responsibly and to ensure that their products have not been produced at the expense of Indonesian rainforests and the climate. That means that their suppliers are not involved in the continued destruction of these rainforests. So the Dove products might continue to be produced. But anyway: Human beings should take more responsibility for their everyday lives. More product are now getting an ecological sertification. It might take som extra minutes while doing your shopping, but if you know that your efforts are saving the planet Eart, it's worth it
I will of course sign the letter. Your blog is brilliant, as always, Keilarina

Hehe, so you are harder than Greenpeace :eyes:

:raider:

I only use ecological products made from trusted companies. I am also keeping an eye on the products if they have possible negative factors for the environement. We use special fliters for the drain water in our house too. So hopefully i manage to get throug Keilarinas "needle eye"

I have never tried soap made of olive oil. Are there some brands that you can recommend me? I might then be able to order them throug the internet, or ask our store to import it

Have a wonderful green day :coffee:

Who needs soap made of palm oil?! This should really be stopped.

Too bad that I hate Greenpeace. I guess I will instead donate some money to the WWF to buy some rain forest.

Dude ive jsu tbeen wondering... you have no about page so i cant msg you or add you..... could you design a banner for me? If you could could you make it in a kind of death metal but maybe with a bit of lone wolf.... like maybe a wolf turned negative. I fyou could that would be deadly!

Fuck Dove!!!
But global has actually been PROVEN to be a load of horse shit. Theres a lot of money to be made out of it ( look at bord gas and British Gas ) and why do you think the ice age happened. Its sunspots. The last iceage there was a dip in them and now theres a rise. Still climate change is a load more than global warming and if all the trees go global warming or not the worlds forest land will soon be desert

Btw i signed the letter as well  what dove are doing is  the rainforests have been home to life for centurys and until the rise of so called "civilsation" we lived here too. I dont see why for the need to wash in palm oil ( wtf anyway? plenty of stuff smells better as well. I bought dove soap once though...... there must be a way to replicate it. I mean why dont they just go into the rainforest collect palm seeds ( ? dont know what they are called ) and grow theyre own sustanible forest. Better yet genetically modify a plant ( hey if u can clone a sheep you can alter a cactus ) to have the same feel. No difference but it will save millions of trees and in the long run save them alot of money. I mean what will happen when they run put of trees to cut down?
