talk Chinese, Chinese, language
Probably the best, and the most pleasant, way to learn a language is to speak it in a social setting. Other ways of learning, like for instance formal study, clearly has value too, but learning how to speak, be understood and understand, is the most important skill for communicating in a foreign language.
Čínská Beseda is a non-commercial way for people with an interest in Chinese language(s) and probably culture to meet, improve their skills, and enjoy themselves. It is open for both absolute beginners (ni hao ma?) to native speakers and everything in between.

Chinese, beseda, Prague, chinese conversation
Today this Thursday Talk Chinese (Čínská Beseda in Czech) starts up again after a break, and will be held the following Thursdays as well. The exception is next Thursday, when the restaurant it is at is having an Opera night, so next week will be on Tuesday June 2 instead of a Thursday. The following week we will be back at a Thursday schedule.
From now on Chinese movies, documentaries, and clips will be shown ahead of the meeting.

Jako norem umím anglický lépe než český (a český moc lépe než čínský), a jsou vice češi než cizinci kteři se učí čínský, ale je to fakt směs anglistina, čestina, a mandarinstina (a občas jíne jazyky) na setkání.

We have created a Facebook group, also called
Čínská Beseda. Facebook makes it easier to organise event invitations and such, but again it is the meetings that matter to practice your Chinese, not the virtual groups.

Chinese, beseda, Prague, pub
...
The origin
This group sprung out of a
thread on the expats.cz forum. As I was trying to learn some Chinese (Mandarin) and had befriended the owners of a
nearby restaurant, there were Czechs and other foreigners there with some basic command of and interest in Chinese as well, and my experience from learning Czech was that it could only be learned properly in a pub, it all gelled together into
Čínská_Beseda. Beseda is a nice Czech word hard to translate (and also a hommage of sorts to the Stará Beseda pub in Žižkov, my first favourite Czech pub), but
Chinese Conversation is the English translation we've picked, and 一起讲中文 in Mandarin.
What can you find here?
Right now: Not much. This group is still in its infancy. The schedule and address will be found here, as well as basic information. As the idea is to learn Chinese by speaking it "live" in a pub environment, the Internet will play a secondary role.
