mural, smash, super smash bros brawl, bros
...
I've been commissioned to make a Super Smash Bros. Brawl mural on a friend's child's bedroom. Not knowing how daunting this task would be, I agreed because this particular friend is awesome and both of her kids are awesome. When I grow up, I want to be them!
At any rate, I've never done a mural before. Or painted, really. So this is a learning experience--plus friggin' awesome because it's Smash Bros. I started taking photos late in the development process... it starts at the beginning and end of DAY 6 of painting.

DS, drawing, Phidias, -MK
There's a homebrew application for the Nintendo DS that has recently taken over my playtime before bedtime [move over Pokemon Pearl]. Phidias [
linkage] is a drawing program with lots of colors to pick from, blur and smudge tools, customizable paintbrushes, and, well. You get the point. It's awesome.
I even started an album!
I hope my late night sessions turn into a habit because I really need to get back into drawing again if I plan to finish my web comic any time soon. No promises, but I'll probably upload one late-night doodle every night.
