The last time I visited Hadrian's wall I did not happen to have a camera with me.
My mind was taken back to what it might have been like in the days of the Roman empire.Interestingly the Romans saw fit ot build the wall, I presume to keep the Scots out. I wonder was it the inclement climate of the Scottish land? or were the Scots simply too ferocious even for the all conquering Romans?
I hope that on my next visit to England I can remember to take my camera. There will be no centurians on the wall , however I can bring back to New Zealand with me my pictures and dream of what it was like all those years ago.
