For almost one year Linda told me about DFAS. That is what she told me:
"DFAS is the acronym for "Desperate For A Shot", like it's late, and you haven't taken a picture yet and are trying to depserately find something to shoot. Know the feeling already?" bigsmile bigsmile

Nice rich brown and tight focus. My camera does not have that amount of control over depth-of-focus.

Oh, my. That sounds scary http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/Scared.gif -
Then maybe one should just close the eyes, point the camera arbitrary somewhere and shoot jester

Although this one is much better. Just find nice colors and light, and take a close up photo.

Welcome to the DFAS Club...

f/1.4 ? WOW! I envy you! bomb furious

derspecht Friday, February 19, 2010 11:33:12 PM

yep, and the depth of field is very small at f1.4! bigsmile

Orlandoojsnascimento Friday, February 19, 2010 11:42:15 PM

I know! I have a AF-S Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G DX, and DOF is so shallow! An f/1.4 Carl Zeiss Planar 50mm is superb!

derspecht Friday, February 19, 2010 11:53:02 PM

oh, I thought I told you. It is a Carl Zeiss Planar 1.4/50mm manual focus. Great lens!
too slow! doh bigsmile bigsmile

I have found that it is completely different the way you shoot with a zoom lens or with a prime lens.
I'm "falling in love" with my 35mm! It's razor sharp!
