Nominations June 2009

2009, nominations, June

1. Nominate pictures that were taken AND posted in 365 Photos in June 2009
2. Please Do NOT nominate your own pictures. There are a lot of nice photos around!
3. You may Nominate four (4) different pictures (4 only please)
4. Try not to select photos that were already nominated.

An easier way to post your photos:

1- go to the photo you are nominating
2- right click on the photo, click properties
3- right click and click on save the image location *** SEE TIME SAVER BELOW
4- click in the comment box where it will be posted on the blog page
5- enter the html code [img=
6- right click and paste the link after the equal sign - Leave no spaces
7- after the link add ] - Leave no spaces

Please add the name of the photo and the name of the photographer above the photo
Ex: "Osprey, by Lois"

*** A time saver: Open Notepad (click start-all programs-accessories-notepad
Copy and paste each of the 4 links into Notepad
.......In Notepad:
Enter the html codes to the beginning and end of the links
Go back to the comment field, left click, right click and paste each image link.
Then go into "edit" in the comment field and add the photographer's name and photo name

Oh, yes, I've just talked about that in the forum!

Leffe, I think it's better to add some things in this post:
1) use thumbnails for the nominations by copying and past the code "small photo" you can find in the sidebar on the left of the photo under "share this photo";

2)add under the thumnails the address of the photo (you can get it by right click on the picture, properties, address) so to help the one who write the voting post!

Of course if everyone is agree!

Well the difficult part is. This discussion showes that there is a confusion going on and it comes up every time it is time for nomination and voteing. We also have houndres of ways to do this.
I would like to leave it as it is for now.By the next month we will maybe have some agreements. We should keep this in the Forum.
I dont know if every one agrees. Take the discussion in forum
and lets hope that as many as posible tell what they think

Well, sorry, but I remember we were agree on using thumbnails in the niminations post and big size in the voting post.

And we also discussed about pictures size in this post, but not many members were interested in it!

Anyway, I have no problems in both ways (even if I'm for a fast page view), let's see what the others think about that!

Well, I agree with Leffe about the fact this time there's a little confusion going on!!

After seeing LaMeri nominations I've update mine with thumbnails 'cause I'm sure everyone will use them this time!

And I think, if we start to use the clickable thumbnail (small photo) we can find under the "share this photo" in the sidebar, as someone has suggested last month, it will be really easy to get the address the voting post maker needs!!

At least, this month we can try in this way to see how it goes so we'll have one more possibility to discuss about that in the forum! Thanks!!

@ Antonietta - Please, add the title and the author of each photo and I'm afraid, but you have to change your first choice 'cause it has been already nominated!

Almost all are in holidays or with no time to make the corect choise for our new rules on nomination post, maybe we should wait for Autumn when all the people are here together!

Zephi. About the problem of allie,I think both in photo album and in blog,i happen to me too.even in my own blog with the comments posted about 2 or 3 months ago,i can't edit it

I remember there's a bug for photo comments and you can't edit them after 24 hours, but it works fine in blog comments! I've just edited the first one by Zé here adding the 3

!! It has always worked for me!

Dear Zeffie,dear Coco. Problem is because you Zeffie don't use Opera Mini and you don't have the same problems and not so offen. I tried to use Opera for Pc and phone and this is big difference at work.

This is really not fair because Opera is famous just because Opera Mini but now really don't care about users the phone Opera.

And I don't belive in effectiveness to reporting to the forum .. Anna reported and without any result, I still lose my photos if I use Opera to editing ..
