"Declaration of Internet Freedom"

Internet users, startup owners and free speech activists are banding together to push the " Declaration of Internet Freedom", a petition released Monday that screams for the freedom of open Internet. This declaration is asking for users to go on the offense rather than defense for their rights!!

“We believe that a free and open Internet can bring about a better world,” , “To keep the Internet free and open, we call on communities, industries and countries to recognize these principles. We believe that they will help to bring about more creativity, more innovation and more open societies.”

The declaration has five straightforward principles:

Expression...Don't censor the Internet,
Access...Promote universal access to fast & affordable networks,
Openness...Keep the Internet an open network where everyone is free to connect, communicate, write, read, watch, speak, listen, learn, create & innovate,
Innovation...Protect the freedom to innovate & create without permission. Don't block new technologies & don’t punish innovators for their user's actions,
Privacy...Protect & defend everyone's ability to control how their data & devices are used.

These are certainly things we are and should be entitled to!!! This is truly what the Internet was original developed for but like all things & ideas once they become a household name "Corporations" step in and money soon overtakes out own basic rights!!

Support these groups and movements or soon you yourself may not be reading this nor using the Internet. They are fighting for your rights!!

Well Microsoft has some interesting news with the new release of Windows 8!!

While consumers are not very excited about this release and less excited that it is missing some of the familiar features such as Media player the expected sales are not looking good. Along with the missing features
Nokia announced that the new Windows 8 will not run on any current Windows phones!!!! So if you want the new Mobile Windows 8 you will also need a new phone as well. This makes upgrading and using the new mobile Windows more costly than allot of consumers will pay.

So whats Microsoft going to do? Well one thing is for the Home Desktop PC arena they are offering a limited time upgrade, for all Windows XP & Windows 7 users, for an astonishing low price of $39.99. thats amazing low and extremely affordable. While various flavors are yet to be determined Microsoft will offer a Windows 8 Pro.
Will we see the end of the Corporate monopoly Giant.

Anonymous

They are at it again! The infamous Anonymous hackers shut down the websites of Colombia's Justice Ministry website on Friday evening (06/2012). The website was back online Saturday morning.

Also, The website of Cambio Radical, the political party of Interior Minister German Vargas Lleras, was hacked later Friday evening and was still showing a message saying "You have been hacked".

Anonymous said on its facebook page the Ministry's website was shut down to protest "impunity" granted to corrupt politicians by a justice reform that had been approved by Congress but was sent back to the legislative branch by President Juan Manuel Santos on Thursday because of its unconstitutionality and inconsistencies that “do not favor justice and transparency.”

Last Year, Anonymous and Colombian Hackers were behind the shut down of the websites of Colombia's president, the interior and justice ministry, the intelligence service DAS and the governing U party.

Right or wrong Anonymous is a force not to be underestimated!

Teach your kids about how to build computers!!!!
The "RASPBERRY PI" is just the thing !!

This little innovation is sweeping the GEEK world and soon your kids schools!! The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card sized computer board that plugs into a TV and a keyboard. It's a miniature ARM-based PC which can be used for many of the things that a desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. It also plays High-Definition video. The Raspberry Pi model B board is supplied as the board only, and comes without memory, power supply, keyboard, case or cables. You will build if from the ground up with your child or even if you just want to learn yourself.

There are several sites and video's now being posted with various ways to build cases, accessories and tons of additions to this board. Truly an awesome side project and fun way to learn for you and your kids!!

Hackers...modern day robin hood or just hoodlums?

Hacker group demands 'idiot tax' from payday lender

Hacker group Rex Mundi has made good on its promise to publish thousands of loan-applicant records it swiped from AmeriCash Advance after the payday lender refused to fork over between $15,000 and $20,000 as an extortion fee -- or, in Rex Mundi's terms, an "idiot tax.".. http://www.infoworld.com/t/hacking/hacker-group-demands-idiot-tax-payday-lender-195964

What intrigues me about these events is whether they are right or wrong it clearly shows that as our technology advances and people become more educated in that very technology even the common man has power right from his humble home. These events show that the playing field will become more and more level between the big corporations and command man possibly eliminating the legal red tape that may protect these giants and allow them to run over the people.

Are they just in their actions? It’s clearly illegal but if the cause helps others then is it wrong? Rex Mundi is accusing them of taking advantage of lower class workers. What is they are correct? What is this Corporation makes its money stealing legally? Do 2 wrongs make a right? All I can say is if I was on the jury..we would be reading about this happening again..up yes

Links and sites I think you will enjoy, information, software and more...

, , , ...

This is just the frame...anyone with good articles please submit and lets get them up..they do not have to pertain to computers but obviously those would be nice..
