Yahoo Messenger (YM) at this day is still the most popular instant messaging client that people use on the internet. Whatever the Operating System, YM still be the main choice.
This apparently to be the choice of Linux user too. In Ubuntu liveCD package, YM function is replaced by Pidgin -Universal Chat Client- as instant messaging client, in Ubuntu 9.10 it replaced again by Emphaty (that supposed to be better YM client, but the fact is... Emphaty had more limitation that people with proxy network are having difficulties to run it... )
As for the linuxer, the existence of Pidgin seem not be able to replace the all function that YM have. Greg Hosler from Sourceforge sees that and then developing GYach-E Improved that specialized working on Linux Operating System replacing Yahoo Messenger.
For Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope, to be able to run GYach-E Improved, next is the step by step how to install it.
