review, Holymen, VA, Enigmatic World Brazil
The well-known in psytrance scene Holymen started a very good series of compilations called Enigmatic World dedicated to different countries and their psytrance favors. First of all theese compilations shows differences in psytrance all over the world, second thing - they all are very good!
Today I will write a bit about latest of Enigmatic Worlds - Enigmatic World Brazil. Holymen made it together with Bishop and it includes very energetic and positive tracks from Brasil both night and morning style. Many new artists and some well-known like Holymen himself are compiled into nine track CD.
CD includes guitars, electronic sounds and very nice rhytmes. I thought that full-on is dying, but I see right now that I was wrong - full-on is still here and it's rocking my house! If You like energetic part of trance - this compilation is for You!
Even though it is not sunny today at my place I feel like tripping to Brasil right now. It was a few months right now that I did not hear any new good full-on sound (new album from Cyrus The Virus disappointed me a lot) and now I feel happy!
Enigmatic World Brazil is not a deeply tranced compilation, it is more party-oriented and that is good! Because I think that Brasil is a big party place. I think that Holymen showed us South America in its best view - I like it! Like it very much!

news, infected mushroom, Astrix, Younger Brother
...
Another bit of psytrance news.
First of all I would like to mention that another CD by Infected Mushroom is coming up later this year (hopefuly). This CD will be dedicated to mixes and, maybe, some new tracks will be included. Becoming Insane single CD included two very good mixes in new infected style. One of them - Deeply Disturbed Infected Mix - was a true masterpiece and it is quite possible that new CD will be full of such tracks. There is also a possibility that one unreleased track called The Legend will also be included.
There are also rumors that Simon Posford will not release new Hallucinogen album any time soon, but instead we will get new stuff from Younger Brother project this or next year. Quite nice, but I still hoping to see Hallucinogen in action. As I know I'm not alone.
Also Astrix has released nice vinyl recently called Future Music. Only four tracks, but they are really great! It is good to hear that Astrix is still in business.
That's all folks for today, I'll try to finish reviews as soon as possible. Stay tuned! And talk in forums (:

review, Shiva Shidapu
Surfing the net I noticed a very familiar, but forgotten project name: Shiva Shidapu. Oh the shame on me! How did I forget about one of the first project of Erez from Infected Mushroom? So I did a quick search for their music and found some very nice tunes from middle 90-s.
Shiva Shidapu are Erez Aizen (now a part of Infected Mushroom) and legendary German goa DJ Jörg Kessler (founder of Shiva Space Technology). They made a lot of cool tracks in pure goa trance and such great ones like Spiritual Healing should not be forgotten! Other cool tracks like Power Of Celtics were later remixed by Infected Mushroom and other groups and included in their albums. But I would like to remind You about one of my favorite Shiva Shidapu tracks – Aquamarine.
Aquamarine has very deep goa sound comparable to People Can Fly from Astral Projection. It cloaks your mind with soft bass line and a diverse sound palette. Such tracks simply blow out my mind and I can’t do anything about that! Track is quite simple in terms of musical composition, but it only intensifies the effect. The best time to listen to Aquamarine is night lying in bed with big headphones on your head. Or at the full-moon party (:

review, VA, Psychedelica Hungarica, compilations
I thought I would never understand dark-psy, but everything was changed by Psychedelica Hungarica compilation released by Psybaba Records. This compilation introduces some already-known psy-artists from Hungaria along with some brand new names in trance-scene. How did it change my musical taste?
Well, I was wondering why do most dark-psy come from xUSSR and Germany and a big bottle of beer opend up my mind for understanding that. Yep, dark-psy is meant to be heard under alcohol influence, not LSD or something else. Psychedelica Hungarica transformed my feeling in a very unusual way which I won’t forget. Very nice experience!
I will not write interesting facts about tracks or projects, I will only suggest that You get vodka plus beer, turn on your CD player, put Psychedelica Hungarica inside and let the music take control! I think that this is the best way to understand dark-psy.
Very short review, but I hope it will force You to try this new experience like I did.

news, 604trance
Sorry guys for being inactive for a while - I'm currently changing my job and so have a lot of work. Next week will be a little vacation for me, so I will post new reviews about new compilations such as Solaris and Psychedelica Hungarica and a lot of new albums from Shift, Human Traffic, Tristan and many others. Well, maybe not every review planned will be posted next week, but that will be massive update anyway.
Also I have plans to write some stuff about non-commercial tracked goa trance by demosceners around the world. I think that not everyone knows a lot about those talented guys and it's time to show them to the world!
Good luck, happy spring and let there be sunshine in your heart! Will see You next week!

review, Reality Is Just A Myth, Mahamudra, albums

This year started with a lot of good CDs and I would like to introduce one of them.
Reality Is Just A Myth is a debut album of
Mahamudra project inspired by many genres such as rock, classical jazz, ethnical music and many more. You can preview this CD at
PsyShop but I would like to point that this disk is very bright, full of live sound mixed with awesome electronic sounds and packed into very unformal psy album.
My favourite track is
The jolly monster (live version) because of its fantastic structure and nice guitars. Overall feeling while listening is that spring is finally here! And I'm just sick of winter. If You are also tired of (not so) cold winter then this CD is a must-listen for You!

astral projection, albums, news, open society
Last year was a really bad year for
BNE - they did not manage to release
Vicious Delicious on time, just the same with
Open Society from
Astral Projection. I'm just curious why Astrals switch to
BNE isntead of
TIP/
Trust In Trance. Anyway
Open Society should be released somewhere this year. I bet for second half. And main track is already freely available for listening on band's
MySpace, so enjoy it!

albums, news, vicious delicious, infected mushroom
According to
BNE this new masterpiece from
Infected Mushroom will be released on
26th of March 2007. Preorders are available since
16th of March and I already did one on two Limited Edition CDs which will be delivered in a while.
P.S. If You simply can't wait for CD to arrive You can search internet for leaked MP3s. But even if You find them I encourage You to buy CD - it is worth it!
