Just reading this interesting but disturbing column on the supposed melting glaciers due to global warming.

It appears that one area seems to be melting at a steady another area is thickening! Although quick to point out that if the sea temperature rises then this could certain reduce or reverse this.

Later the article contradicts itself.

So, all in all

Another tornado on it's way to USA. Quake in Pakistan. New Orleans decimated. Odd weather and natural disasters all over the world. Has our planet had enough? Does our host finally want to wipe us off its face for polluting the waters and landscapes? I don't expect that we deserve to be looked upon other than parasites. Perhaps the same way that we look upon fleas on our cats - an irritation.

Have we really caused any damage - probably not much in the grand scheme of things - nothing that a couple of hundred million years won't erase, I suspect.
