Pebble In The Shoe Of Time

Limping Badly

Johnny Limbo And The Lugnuts play a few blocks away at my neighborhood park this evening.

, ,

I went out on my porch to do some evening reading before the light faded too much and heard live fifties and sixties music coming from the lake a few blocks away so I grabbed a camera and walked over to see if I could get a few shots. Turns out the show was just getting over when I arrived:
And These guys have never played in my neighborhood:And Finally tonight, my cat climbing into my guitar case:

Do you ever play that Fender? It looks pretty new to me bigsmile

Good observation. I just bought it a week ago. I have had many guitars and lots of gear since I was 16 years old (34 years ago) I bought my first Strat in 1973 for $440. Now this one I just bought was $999.99 + tax! I'm pretty picky when it comes to guitars. You can go to a shop with 30 identical year/model guitars and only one or maybe two are "players" that is, alive, so to speak. I am mostly a blues player so I tend to grind out my frets pretty fast, within a year - two at the most, so I have to either pay for refrets or buy new guitars! I just sold off most of my music gear a couple years ago and am going to keep things pretty simple and travel light from now on ( I hope) smile

The same thing I do with swords, I hold a lot of them but only few are suitable for me. I am practicing two forms of japanese fencing, iaido and battodo, also a kendo for about 12 years. I know what are you talking about up

Great sport and disipline! I admire the master sword making skills and also see the similarities between musical insturment making and sword making. Of course, electric guitars are much more forgiving than acoustic guitars and sadly, the world is full of mostly very bad acoustic guitars. Even food is like that in some ways! My local restaurants mostly serve what looks like say, French or whatever, but one taste and, well....
