¤ "To The Lovers of 'Hadith' : What's the interpretation of this 'Hadith' and Who are the Strangers mentioned?!" ¤ =>The Prophet , informed us that Islam began as a strange religion, and it will return to being strange just as it began. He, gave glad tidings to such strangers that they would enter Paradise! ¤
¤ ''The Final Four of the Dozen Reasons Why Muslims Should Follow
the Quran and Nothing but the Quran!'' ¤ => 9- For the first 150 years to 200 years after the death of the prophet, and in accordance to his commands, the writing of his hadith was forbidden. The first one to document a comprehensive collection of hadith was Al-Bukhari, note that Al-Bukhari was born in the year 194 After Hijrah. What this means is that the first of what is regarded as authentic hadith (sahih) to be compiled was written more than two whole centuries after the death of the Prophet!
Even if we were to follow the hadith (something which is clearly prohibited in the Quran), we would still be faced with the question: how accurate can a collection of sayings documented two centuries after the death of the Prophet be?
10- God commands the Prophet in the Quran to say that he is infallible in the revelation he delivers, but that he may commit errors in his personal words and hadith:
"Say: If I err, I err because of my shortcomings, and if I am rightly guided it is due to the revelation I receive from my Lord" 34:50
In spite of the above confirmation of the fallibility of the Prophet, together with six incidents in the Quran where the Prophet was reprimanded by God for errors he committed, still the ones who idolise the Prophet claim that Muhammad was infallible! The six incidents are found in 8:67-68, 9:43, 9:113-114, 33:37, 66:1 and 80:1-11.
11- The Quran confirms that for every prophet there will be enemies of human and jinn devils who will fabricate fancy sayings (hadith) and attribute them to the Prophet to deceive the people:
"We have permitted the enemies of every prophet, human and jinn devils, to inspire in each other fancy sayings, in order to deceive" 6:112
God also asserts that only thetdisbelievers will uphold such fabrications (see 6:113).
12- Finally, the Quran contains everything the genuine believer needs for the following reasons:
A- The Quran is complete and does not need an annex:
"The word of your Lord is complete in truth and justice" 6:115
B- The Quran is not in need of an explanatory supplement since it is clear and is not ambiguous:
"A.L.R. These are the signs of the clear book" 12:1
"We have made it (the Quran) easy to understand and in your own tongue (language) may you take heed." 44:58
C- The Quran is not in need of a correction manual since it is perfect and harbours no contradictions:
"A.L.R. This is a book whose verses have been perfected" 11:1
D- The Quran is not in need of a 'details' supplement since it is fully detailed:
"Shall I seek other than God as a source of law, when He has revealed to you this book fully detailed?" 6:114
For all these reasons, all Muslims should follow the Quran, the whole Quran and nothing but the Quran. -[Source: Quran-islam]. ¤

¤ ''Eight of the Dozen Reasons Why Muslims Should Follow the Quran and Nothing but the Quran!'' ¤

~ 1- The Quran contains clear commands for all Muslims to follow the Quran Alone, and reject all hadith. The Arabic word hadith in general means all human sayings, narrations, talk, stories., etc. In a more specific sense, the word 'hadith' refers to the personal sayings of the prophet Muhammad, and is regarded by the majority of scholars to be the second source of law after the Quran. This is despite the clear command given in the Quran to follow the Quran alone and reject all hadith. The following are examples:
- "These are God's revelations (Quran) that We recite to you truthfully. In which hadith other than God and His revelations (Quran) do they believe?" 45:6
- "Shall I seek other than God as a source of law , when He has revealed to you this bookfully detailed?" 6:114
- " This scripture (Quran) has been revealed to you - you shall not harbour doubt about it in your heart - that you may warn with it, and to provide a reminder for the believers. You shall all follow what is revealed to you from your Lord; do not follow any idols besides Him. Rarely do you take heed." 7:2-3
- "Among the people, there are those who uphold baseless hadith, and thus divert others from the path of God without knowledge, and take it in vain. These have incurred a shameful retribution.
And when our revelations (Quran) are recited to one of them, he turns away in arrogance as if he never heard them , as if his ears are deaf. Promise him a painful retribution." 31:6-7
2- The word 'sunna' which is used in the Quran, means the way of doing things or methodology. Millions of Muslims today have been brought up to believe that all Muslims should follow the Quran and also the sunna of the prophet Muhammad.
However, the Quran confirms that the only sunna is the sunna of God. No where in the Quran is there any mention of a sunna for Muhammad!
"You will find that the sunna of Allah is the only sunna" (33:62..35:43...48:23)
3- The Quran confirms that the only duty of Muhammad (or of any messenger) is to deliver God's message. Messengers are not sent to advocate their own personal teachings. They are called messengers of God because they deliver a message from God.
"The only duty of the messenger is to deliver God'smessage" 5:99
The same message is found in 5:92, 16:35, 16:82, 24:54, 29:18, 42:48 and 64:12.
4- God commands the believers to obey God and obey the messenger, but God also makes sure that the obedience to the messenger is linked to obeying the message he delivered and nothing else. Obeying the messenger does not mean that the messenger issued additional teachings outside of the Quran.
The confirmation that the obedience of the messenger is linked to obeying the message he delivered (the Quran) is confirmed in the following verse:
"Obey God and obey the messenger. If you shall turn away then the sole duty of the messenger is to deliver the message (the Quran)" 64:12
Note how the obedience to the messenger and the deliverance of the Quran are linked in the same verse.
5- We never read any where in the Quran words like 'Obey God and obey Muhammad' or obey Jesus, or Moses. The words always say "the messenger". This is to emphasise that what is to be obeyed is the message of the messenger and not his personal words.
6- The Quran also confirms that Muhammad was commanded not to teach any other teachings, otherwise he would incur severe punishment from God:
"It (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the universe. Had he (Muhammad) uttered any other teachings, We would have grabbed him by the right, and We would have severed his Wateen (Major artery of the heart), none of you could have helped him." 69:43-47
7- Muhammad was made to swear that the only revelation he received from God was the Quran. This exposes all the allegations which claim that Muhammad received revelations from God independent of the Quran, and which is referred to as 'Hadith Al-Qudsy' (sacred hadith).
"Say (O Muhammad) what is of the greatest testimony? Say: God is the witness between me and you, and this Quran has been inspired to me, that I may warn you and whomever it reaches" 6:19
If the 'Hadith Al-Qudsy' was truly a revelation received by Muhammad from God (as is falsely claimed) we would expect the Quran, being fully detailed, to include such confirmation. Needless to say, nowhere in the Quran is there any indication that Muhammad received anything from God other than the Quran.
8- Prophet Muhammad himself commanded his people not to write his hadith, this is documented in the collection of 'Muslim' and other books:
"Do not write down anything from me except the Quran. Whoever writes other than that should delete it" (Ahmed Ibn Hanbal, Vol. 1, page 171 also Sahih Muslim, Book 42, Number 7147) -[Source: Quran-islam]. ¤

¤ 'Dogs!', Are they Dirty, Prohibited Animals? ¤

~It is traditional among Muslims all over the world to regard the dog as a dirty animal that when touched would void the wudu (ablution) and infect the one who touched it with "nagasah" (dirty impurity)!
Sadly, this concept comes from fabricated 'hadith' which claims that the prophet ordered the killing of dogs and gave numerous hadith that prohibit the keeping of dogs except for hunting and guarding, due to their dirty status!
However, by studying the Quran we find no such truth. Nowhere in the Quran are dogs prohibited, nor is there any mention of any contaminating effect of these lovely animals who are man's best friend. Consequently, we must dismiss all these 'hadith' that fabricate lies against the prophet.
1- God tells us in the Quran about the story of the dwellers of the Cave (Surah 18). In verse 13 God tells us that they were good believers and that God guided them. In verse 18 God tells us that they had their dog with them.
Now if dogs are prohibited and dirty, would God speak of those dwellers of the Cavet(who had a dog) as good believers?
2- In 5:4 God tells us that it is alright to eat what the trained dogs catch (dogs are used in hunting). Now if the dog is an animal which causes contamination by mere touch, would God tell us it is perfectly fine to eat what the dog catches with his mouth (let alone just touch the dog)?
3- The Quran contains a very important rule for all believers, and the rule is:
Nothing is haram (unlawful) unless it is prohibited by God Himself, and since God describes the Quran as complete, perfect and fully detailed, thus all the prohibitions decreed by God are found in the Quran. The following Quranic verses confirm this truth:
“Say, " Who prohibited the nice things God has created for His creatures , and the good provisions?" Say, "Such provisions are to be enjoyed in this life by those who believe. Moreover, the good provisions will be exclusively theirs on the Day of Resurrectiont. "We thus explain the revelations for people who know.” 7:32
“Shall I seek other than God as a source of law, when He has revealed to you this book fully detailed?” 6:114
“You shall not utter lies with your own tongues stating: "This is halal (lawful), and this is haram (unlawful)," to fabricate lies and attribute them to God. Surely, those who fabricate lies and attribute them to God will never succeed.” 16:116
There is not one verse in the Quran where God says that dogs are dirty or that they are prohibited to keep.
4- Is it logical that God would create an animal to be man's best friend and serve him in many ways, and then prohibit such an animal?
5- If this is what the Quran has to tell us about the issue of dogs, then where does all the prohibition come from? Where do the claims that dogs are dirty animals which if touched would void our ablution and render us impure come from? As most other corruptions which have crept into Islam, the source is always the fabricated 'hadith' which are falsely attributed to prophet Muhammad!
'Hadith' tell us that the prophet prohibited the keeping of dogs as pets. Other 'hadith' tell us that angels won't enter a room where there is a dog. Other 'hadith' tell us that if we touch a dog our ablution is void and we become impure, and that we have to wash seven times to clean this impurity, the final time in dust. That seems inconsistent with the Quran saying you may eat what they catch for you! Some other 'hadith' go even beyond that to say that we must kill all black dogs!
The following are some examples:
Malik's Muwatta, Book 54, Number 54.5.13:
"Malik related from Nafi from Abdullah Ibn Umar that the messenger of God ordered all dogs (other than sheepdogs or hunting dogs) to be killed".
Ibn Hanbal's collection: The messenger of God said:
"You shall kill all black Dogs, because they are devils."
The question is: Did the prophet really issue these prohibitions? In addtition, did the prophet have the authority to issue these prohibitions?
The answer is given in the Quran:
"O you prophet, why do you prohibit what God has made lawful in order to please your wives? God is Forgiver Merciful" 66:1
Obviously God did not include the words in 66:1 in the Quran to belittle the prophet in our eyes, but these words are placed in the Quran in order to confirm to all believers across all time that the messenger of God does not have the authority to prohibit anything which is not prohibited by God. God is the only Law Maker (6:114) and the only duty of the messenger is to deiver God's message (5:92).
The outcome of all the above is that we must discard all the lies attributed to the prophet regarding prohibiting dogs and be focused on the Quran as the only source of guidance and religious law. -[Source: Quran-islam]. ¤

¤ ''Reading the Qur'an but Practising Something Else!'' ¤

~ There is a prevalent culture among Muslims where they only view the Qur'an as a way of gaining reward for reciting out loud the Arabic words correctly. Such people think that they hold the Qur'an in high esteem, but this only keeps them away from studying the Qur'an as they should. Parents teach their children how to pronounce the Arabic words and send their children to evening schools to learn to recite the Qur'an correctly. Such people do not deny the importance of the Qur'an, but their idea of the role of the Qur'an is extremely mistaken and shallow. It is merely to either gain reward for each letter recited or to validate Salah by reciting some short chapters. Members of this majority group may even enjoy listening to recitations of the Qur'an, not because of the message in the Verses, but to appreciate the melody, or for relaxation purposes!
What Islam is, is merely everything else they hear outside of the Qur'an. Such people consider themselves highly religious, while they hold such an ignorant approach to the Qur'an. They recite the Qur'an frequently, but the recitation does not have any bearing on them. Then, they take all their religious guidance from outside the Qur'an - they think those practices amount to fulfilling their duty to the Qur'an. Many of such ignorant people's ideas and practices are even against what the Qur'an has to say, while they are not aware of it - or are aware of it but deliberately ignore thinking about it, laying excuses such as 'I am not knowledgeable enough' or 'I am a laymen, more knowledgeable people have said this, who are you and me to question?'
The real purpose of the Qur'an is to give guidance to the individual human being who has been created to worship Allah. The Qur'an's guidance is in its meanings, not in the pronunciations of its Arabic letters. The guidance of the Qur'an is a mercy, cure and light for the true believers as it reveals many unknown secrets such as Allah's power, reasons to happening of events around us, and the true nature of Allah's religion. The Qur'an has been necessarily made easy to understand. But this majority have been bereft from this blessing, all while they are deceived into thinking they are following religion perfectly as they are fulfilling their own idea of what the purpose of the Qur'an is.
"We have sent down to you a Book containing your message. Do you not understand?" (Qur’an 21:10)
Thinking one is fulfilling their obligations toward the Qur'an by simply carrying out rituals such as prayer and fasting, without making the effort to find out what the Qur'an actually says about religion is a great deception. This is because the Qur'an is a Book to reflect upon, to learn from and to gain the necessary insight and wisdom it gives to be a real believer, this is a duty upon anyone who wants to be a Muslim. One cannot possibly be a true Muslim without having necessary knowledge and understanding of the Qur'an. If one only learns about the Qur’an from books written about the Qur’an, written by people, and does not feel the necessity to learn from theQur’an directly himself, he is only deceiving himself. Allah mentions this ignorant approach in the words, “Or do you have another book which you study?” (Qur’an 68:39).
Worship based on make-believing that Qur'an is being followed in the flow of the majority and under blind trust of leaders without a personal attachment to the Qur'an and knowledge of the Qur'an, holds little or no value in Allah's sight.
Let us ask ourselves: how much do we know about the Qur'an? Not superficial knowledge like the number of chapters or verses, or which city a chapter was revealed in, but the message in its Verses and their many intricacies and secrets. How much wisdom have you gained from the Qur'an? Have you read the entire Qur'an even once in your own language? How many times a day do you refer to the Verses of the Qur'an as you lead your day to day life? Are you sure whether any of your outlooks are from the Qur'an, or is your religion muddled?
“The words of your Lord are complete in its truth and justice. Nothing can change His Words – He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. ''If you obeyed most of those on earth, they would lead you away from the path of Allah. They follow nothing but speculation – they are merely guessing.” (Qur’an 6:115-116)
"This too, is a blessed Book which We have sent down – follow it, and be conscious of your Lord, so that you may receive mercy – lest you say, ‘Books were sent to two communities before us: we were not aware of what they studied’, or ‘if only the Book had been sent down to us, we would have been better guided than them.’ Now your Lord has brought you clear evidence, guidance, and mercy. Who could be more wrong than someone who rejects Allah’s Revelations and turns away from them? We shall repay those who turn away with a painful punishment." ¤ ''Twisting the Qur'an with Tongues!'' ¤

~ Unfortunately today, many people consider themselves Muslim and even very religious but are unaware of what the Qur'an says about an issue or a concept of faith. Many 'Muslims' are happy to lead a life devoid of the direct influence of the Glorious Qur'an.
People who fit the definition of the above type quickly reveal their ignorance to a true believer, when, in a discussion, make remarks such as the following:
"I think it says in the Qur'an or it could be somewhere else (followed by what they think is there)" by some people.
...or for example by others who are more acquainted with traditions:
It says in the Qur'an (followed by an outright lie, while they even know it is a lie)" .
Because of their mistaken belief that something taken from elsewhere has the credibility of the Qur'an, they think they have the right to say to every one 'it is in the Qur'an' (literally) to give their false claim authority, knowing very well it is not there. Allah has identified these sorts of intentional twisters of Allah's Scriptures in a Verse:
"Among them is a group who distort the Book with their tongues so that you think it is from the Book when it is not from the Book. They say, 'it is from Allah', but it is not from Allah. They tell a lie against Allah and they know it." (Qur'an 3:78)
The consistent features of such people is that they usually think they have true knowledge of Islam and believe they are religious while they tell lies about the Qur'an. They may indeed have vast 'technical' knowledge, but it is never based on the actual Qur'an. Allah has sealed their hearts to the Qur'an. Thus they do not really care whether what they are claiming is in the Qur'an or not, so long as it fits in with their preconceived idea of what 'Islam' is and what is acceptable by the majority. Their heedlessness of the Qur'an indicates the real lack of fear of Allah and the Last Day, despite their deceptive impressions on others by way of their appearances and so-called words of a believer.
These people, while giving the impression they are Muslims, can get into arguments and debates readily about the Qur'an, as if though they are the true adherents of the divine Book. They quote Quranic Verses though they know very little about the overall Quran's actual contents and true way of life. Unfortunately, they misguide many people with wrong information about religion and depict a twisted definition of the religion of Allah.
"Yet there are some people who, with no knowledge or guidance or any Book of Enlightenment, argue about Allah, turning scornfully aside to lead others away from Allah's path. Disgrace in this world awaits such a person and, on the Day of Judgment, we shall make him taste the suffering of the Fire" (Qur'an 22:8-9). -[Source: Quranic-Path]. ¤

¤ ''In Islaam Every Single Moment Counts!'' ¤

~ When we look back at our past, everything seems to be like a single moment. Years spent doing something seems to appear as one moment in time. For example, the many days you went to school, the thoughts that passed through your head as you waited for the bus. Or the many things you thought and felt as you washed the dishes over the years.
All the things you did in your life from this point on till the beginning of your life, does not seem representative of the effort it took to live through each moment of them. When you lived through those moments, you felt the stress, strain and anxiety of the mental and physical demands each situation posed on you. Yet, it all seems like it never happened now because it has come to pass and become a single point in memory, as if it all never happened.
The most interesting thing is that even when all of your history is but just one point in imagination, each and every single moment of life that you had to live through will be judged with scrutiny by Allah. Ultimately, did you do what you did in those moments trying to seek Allah's pleasure?
The following Verses of the Qur'an draws our attention to the above:
"By (the passing of) time! The human being is indeed in loss. Except those who believe, do good works, support one another with the truth, and support one another with perseverance." [Qur'an, Surah 103, Al-'Asr]
Points to note are that, Allah starts by saying 'By Time!', drawing our attention to how time passes as we noted above. All of what a person does in the time allocated to him in this life is 'indeed in loss'. However, the only exception is if the person was a believer who sincerely sought to earn Allah's pleasure in this world in every single moment of his life. The true believer kept in mind that these moments will come to pass very quickly, and only his sincere intentions and good works done in those very moments will be valued by Allah.
Therefore, what people should do is spend every moment being conscious of Allah. Orientating all deeds such as, kindness, justice, charity, humbleness, love, worship, purely to seek the pleasure of Allah. Otherwise, the individual will find nothing at the end of his life to show Allah, and will be as the Verse indicates, one of those in loss by the passing of time. -[Source: Quranist-Path]. ¤

¤ ''The Qur'aan is Complete and Fully Detailed!'' ¤ -Final Part:

~ It must be borne in mind that for the first two centuries of Islam, there were no hadith books or so-called tafsir books. These were written much later when the prophetic prohibition to write his hadiths were broken. For the first two centuries, the Muslims performed all obligations stated in the Qur'an. The environment was filled with distorted hadiths and lies attributed to the prophet but this did not prevent the Muslims to carry out Quranic commandments. The caliphs of the time (Abu Bakr and Umar) forbade the writing of hadith as per the prophetic instructions and the Quranic teachings while they were alive.
“This Book has been sent down to you (Prophet) – let there be no anxiety in your heart about it – so that you may use it to give warning and to remind the believers (by telling them): ‘Follow what has been sent down to you from your Lord! Do not follow other masters beside Him. How seldom you take heed!’ ” (Qur’an 7:2)
“The Messenger’s duty is only to deliver the message: Allah knows what you reveal and what you conceal.” (Qur’an 5:99)
"And thus do We elaborate the verses so that they may say: 'You have read' and that We may make it clear to a people who know." (Qur'an 6:105)
Most Muslims today are unaware of what the Qur'an says about concepts of faith and carry many views on the Qur'an that are distorted and falsified because they have no direct knowledge of the verses. It is of no surprise that Allah informs us of a statement of the Prophet Muhammad on the Day of Judgement:
"And the Messenger said, 'My Lord, my people have deserted this Qur'an' " (Qur'an25:30)
Here, one has access to verses that have been buried for centuries with distorted meanings. There are also refutations to alleged verses, which the clergy use in an attempt to prove other sources are required, to move people away from the actual Qur'an and to prevent them from thinking over the Qur'an. In all cases, their interpretations bear no resemblance to what the Quranic interpretations are. Whoever wishes to follow the guidance of the Qur'an does so to his or her own advantage.
"Do they want judgement according to the time of pagan ignorance? Is there any better judge than Allah for those of firm faith?” (Qur’an 5:50)
“Have you considered those who were asked to accept judgement from Allah’s Book? When they are asked to accept judgement from Allah’s Book, some of them turn their backs and walk away!” (Qur’an 3:23)
“Mankind was a single community, then Allah sent Prophets to bring good news and warning, and with them He sent the Book with the Truth, to judge between people in the disagreements. It was only those to whom it was given who disagreed about it after clear verses had come to them, because of rivalry between them. So by His leave Allah guided the believers to the truth they had differed about: Allah guides whoever He wills to a straight path.” (Qur’an 2:213)
"This too, is a blessed Book which We have sent down – follow it and be conscious of your Lord, so that you may receive mercy – lest you say, ‘Books were sent to two communities before us: we were not aware of what they studied’, or ‘if only the Book had been sent down to us, we would have been better guided than them.’ Now your Lord has brought you clear evidence, guidance, and mercy. Who could be more wrong than someone who rejects Allah’s Revelations and turns away from them? We shall repay those who turnaway from our verses with a painful punishment." (Qur’an 6:155-157)
"And We made the Qur'an easy to learn. Do any of you wish to learn?" (Qur'an 54:17). :[Source: Quranist-Path]. ¤

¤ ''The Qur'aan is Complete and Fully Detailed!'' ¤ -Part Two:

~ One of the arguments one will put forth is that one has to know hadith books before understanding the Qur'an to help clarify the verses or elaborate on areas where he thinks the Qur'an is unclear. As stated, by this way, he enters into a world of secondary sources littered with un-Quranic teachings and outlook to religion. Allah states that the interpretation of the Qur'an, is in the Qur'an it self. In other words, the Qur'an explains its own self:
"We have brought them a Scripture - We have explained it on the basis of knowledge - as guidance and mercy for those who believe." (Qur’an 7:52)
“This is how We explain Our revelations in various ways” (Qur’an 6:105)
"See how We explain the revelations, perhaps they may comprehend." (Qur'an 6:65)
"It is such that We clarify the revelations to a people who think." (Qur’an 10:24)
That is, Allah has explained the Qur'an as He says, "We have explained it", not the Prophet or the people around him and that these explanations are clear for a people who ponder over the verses, "to a people who think." .
Such a person actually has not truly believed nor surrendered to Allah to the standard required by the Qur'an as he has not developed himself with Quranic lessons. This relationship of 'attitude to the Qur'an' with 'devotion to Allah' is revealed within the above verse, 7:52, where it is stated that Allah Himself explains the verses, and He makes it guidance and mercy only to those who believe in Him.
The Qur'an contains all the correct information about religion and is a guide for individuals.
Most people however, do not know much about the Qur'an.
"We have sent down The Reminder and We will guard it" (Qur'an 15:9)
Ofcourse, it follows: what is the purpose of protecting the Qur'an from corruption, if its meanings can only be reached through corruptible sources, such as hadith works developed between 200 to 700 years after the Prophet's death? There would be no point as the purpose would be defeated. Therefore, it only adds more sense to why Allah has contained the Qur'an's interpretation within the Qur'an itself, just as Allah states in the verses.
"Alif Lam Ra. These are the signs of the Scripture, and a clear Qur'an." (Qur’an 15:1)
Allah has rebuked those who have nothing better to do than to write and follow more books beyond what He has revealed:
"Should We treat the ones who have surrendered the same as those who are criminals? What is wrong with you, how do you judge? Or do you have another book which you study? In it do you find whatever you wish to find?" (Qur’an 68:36-38)
There are no orders in the Qur'an to follow any book other than the Qur'an. Ofcourse, we have practices such as Salah and Hajj. It does not justify nor accept contradictory teachings to the Qur'an, or taking up an attitude where one does not research the Qur'an directly himself. Salah and Hajj are living practices for believers. The believer must take the Qur'an as a guide and disregard un-Quranic elements, should any arise. Some people make questions such as where in the Qur'an are these practices taught. These practices are living practices among us, just as we learn practices such as cooking, driving a car etc. As a general rule, all practices are valid so long as they conform with the values, ethics and principles of the Qur'an. Though most people will agree with this statement, this is not the case in practice - since much of people's practice and thinking violates Allah'sBook. How can one have this Quranic criterion of judgement if he or she does not study the Qur'an directly? One first has to understand the Qur'an in order to judge everything he sees. But, if the person maintains that understanding the Qur'an must involve going through and accepting the other sources via so-called learned-men and ignores the Quran's statement that it explains itself, then he has already accepted the very thing the Qur'an should judge over and will have an extremely clouded and preconceived view of the Qur'an. One must develop true faith in Allah through an understanding of the Qur'an before doing anything else.
"Believers, if you have mindfulness of Allah, He will give you a criterion, and will cleanse you of your sins and forgive you. Allah’s favour is indeed immense." (Qur'an 8:29)
Those who wish to remove people away from the Book revealed by Allah have the only tactic to take verses and twist them to their liking. Their twists are strikingly obvious to the genuine follower of the Qur'an - the truth is no match for falsehood.
“The words of your Lord are complete in its truth and justice. Nothing can change His words – He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. If you obeyed most of those on earth, they would lead you away from the path of Allah. They follow nothing but speculation – they are merely guessing.” (Qur’an 6:115-116). :[Source: Quranist-Path] ¤

¤ ''The Qur'an is Complete & Fully Detailed! -Part One.'' ¤

~ Have you ever read the Qur'an on its own? What part of it did you not understand? One who reads the Qur'an with an unprejudiced mind will notice how clear and direct all the verses of the Qur'an are. The Qur'an is complete and contains all the details necessary for religion. Up until this point, you may have been conditioned by the majority around you to think that the Qur'an is incomplete and in need of secondary sources such as hadith and 'tafsir' works.
"And We have revealed the Book to you which has clear explanation of everything , and a guidance, mercy and good news for those who submit." (Qur'an 16:89)
As the verse states, the Qur'an explains all matters - it is not the other way round where other books have to explain the Qur'an - a false notion many people have come to believe. Allah states the Qur'an is complete, fully detailed and elaborate:
“Shall I then seek a Judge other than Allah? When it is He Who has revealed to you the Book fully detailed?” (Qur'an 6:114)
Once an individual submits completely to the fact that the Qur'an is indeed fully detailed and gives up all inner arrogance in accepting this ultimate truth, he or she begins to realise many deviated practices that are practised in the name of Islam. This individual finds that many religious leaders are also telling lies about the Quranic verses in order to justify distorted and sometimes evil practices that is against the very essence of the Qur'an, violating direct verses and general ethics of the Qur'an. Ofcourse, only a sincere heart will notice this unique completeness of the Qur'an. The individual also begins to feel a nearness to Allah which he never experienced before as he begins to receive guidance directly from Allah.
Say: "My Lord has guided me to a Straight Path, an upright system, the creed of Abraham the upright; he was not from those who set up partners." (Qur'an 6:161)
The one who wishes to find other sources beside the Qur'an comes up with clichéd excuses such as 'how do we know how to pray, or how much charity to give?', sometimes before he even read the Qur'an even once! The Qur'an actually answers all his questions - the problem is that he simply never looks into the Qur'an for the answers. He has been pre-programmed to view the Qur'an as a form of mystical, cryptic holy book, which is difficult to understand without knowing other sources like hadith. It can therefore only be interpreted by "ulamas". This spell on this individual leads him to:
1) Follow distorted practices that are actually not in the Qur'an.
2) He never knows true lifestyle, ethics and devotion to Allah alone because he does not receive any guidance from the actual Qur'an.
3) He does not have any opinions or deduced any intellectual analysis of verses - he simply repeats what he reads in the tafsir books, those books are his first and only port-of-call to the Qur'an, which are often littered with hearsay and false information that resemble nothing of the true meanings of the verses.
"Say, ‘I do not say to you that I have treasures of Allah, nor do I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me.’ " (Qur’an 6:50)
4) His outlook on religion are derived entirely on the practice of the majority. He even has hadith to show that the majority are correct despite the Qur'an stating the majority are likely to be in error (6:116).
5) He is only really interested by discussion of anything other than Quranic verses, which remove him from the Qur'an - but he is deluded into thinking that study of those books equate to following Islam. He finds some Quranic verses used in those books and thinks those interpretations are correct since the author is "qualified" and he apparently is not. This is despite Allah stating that the Qur'an is a guide for him and that he is responsible for following the Qur'an's direct verses:
"We have sent down to you a Book containing your message. Do you not understand?" (Qur'an 21:10)
"He Who imposed the Qur'an upon you will certainly bring you back home again. Say, 'My Lord knows best who has brought true guidance and who is plainly misguided." (Qur'an 28:85). :[Source: Quranist-Path]. ¤
