Aggressors - The new hero pulp

Casting Calls

, ,

Recently thanks to my mate DaveI was informed of a new A Team movie in the works.

I tried to come up with a good cast for this movie and failed - who I wanted to see most likely wouldn't be commerically viable and some parts cannot reasonably be recast

James Brolin as Hannibal, James Spader as Face, BA who could you cast that wouldn't be either a bad Mr T impersonation or a totally different character?, Murdock the danger is that the actor in this role would be too wacky - I've seen Jim Carrey suggested for the role but his antics would then overpower the others. This is an ensemble cast.

So I decided to look at a few other movies from Aggressor Novels

The Pentrator

How about George Eads from CSI?

Okay your turn if they were to turn your favourite series into a movie who would you cast?

I found when people want to cast their favorite characters they always go for actors who look like the characters. I'm not sure that is such a good thing. I mean Humphrey Bogart looked nothing like Sam Spade or Philip Marlowe.

That's a bloody good point. There's been a few movies where the person cast looked nothing like the character, but achieved success nevertheless simply by their portrayal and faithfulness to the character.

There I am ... marked as bloody spam again! A pox on the server monkeys!

I've unspammed you.

I generally speaking try for a mix of being able to play the character and appearance.

But look at Daniel Craig as the blond Bond and Michael Clark Duncan as Kingpin. Both portrayals were very well done.

Max Allan Collins' Nolan is supposed to look exactly like Lee Van Cleef.

That's pretty cool.
