RELIC HUNTER: The Wages of Sydney (2001)

Professor Sydney Fox is a Relic Hunter, like Lara Croft and Indiana Jones she's an adventuring Archeologist. Like all episodes of Relic Hunter this opens with a short scene showing the relic in it's orginal time frame before it disappears in this case the Dragon's Egg an ancient Chinese bomb which was used as a peace offering to destroy their enemies - a Chinese version of the Trojan Horse.
We flash forward to the present and Sydney and her British assistant Nigel Bailey are tracking down a map to The Dragon's Egg. However, a rival relic hunter Kane beats them to it and Sydney and Nigel are chasing him to China.
As Sydney and Nigel prepare to leave we discover that Sydney's PA Claudia has left for a dream job in New York fashion to be replaced by Karen. Karen gets a B plot of getting Sydney's budget approved.
Sydney and Nigel discover that Kane has fallen foul of a local warlord Shandar. After busting out Kane the retrieve the map and rush to The Dragon's Egg, with Shandar and Kane in hot pursuit.
Do they make it? Will the explosive in the egg kill them all? I'm not telling.
Sydney doesn't carry a gun but a miniture crossbow and knife and is an expert martial artist.
We discover that over the past few years Sydney has brought her university 84 relics, 19 of which have been sold to museums for over one million dollars each.
Relic Hunter sits on the borderline of an Aggressor but her adventures are funt to watch.
