Casting Call: The Evil in Pemberely House

Just for fun I'll be running an occasional feature here on the Serial Vigilante Blog where I pretend I'm a movie maker and suggest the cast of a movie version of a series, book, comic, etc. My first dream movie would be The Evil Pemberley House by Philip Jose Farmer and Win Scott Eckert. (I should mention that despite Win being a mate, he had no imput into this cast.)

The lovely lady on the cover and heroine of this book is Patricia Wildman. My choice for this role would be Amanda RighettiBest known as CBI agent Grace Von Pelt in The Mentalist, she has the look and the physicality to play Miss Wildman.

My second choice would be Christina Hendricks from the TV series Mad Men, whilst she has the look (just imagine her recreating that cover for the movie poster) her filmography doesn't suggest that she has the physicality for the role.

Patricia is the daughter of Doc Wildman and his wife Adelaide Lupin. I'd cast Dolp Lundgren and Monica Bellucci for these roles.

Shortly after the death of her parents, Patricia marries Doctor Verner. The story hints that Verner might be a distant relative of Sherlock Holmes so I'd cast former Sherlock Nicholas Rowe in the part.

After the death of her husband, Patricia discovers that she has inherited an English estate. Upon visiting the estate (Pemberley House) Patricia meets the Dowager Duchess of Greystoke and her adopted grandchildren Richard and Carla DeGuy. For these roles, Maggie Smith Guy Pearce and Jennifer Ehle

The Dowager Duchess is attended by her private physician Doctor Augustus Moran. I'd suggestion her would be Jim Broadbent

Another member of staff is Charles Peter Parker the groundskeeper, according to the backstory he reveals he was a member of The Knight Errant Ltd agency. In this photo we can see Parker on the left of the image from those days For this role I'd cast former Tarzan actor Casper Van Dien

So that is the main cast of The Evil Pemberley House. I had fun casting several actors who'd played Wold Newton Roles in the past and I'd love hear your thoughts.

:"Fang & Sting" by Win Eckert (2010) in THE GREEN HORNET CHRONICLESThe Philanthropist 2009 starring James Purefoy, Neve Campbell, Jesse L.Martin
