My Opera Server Upgrade
Finally! The day has arrived. We are installing the new servers
We expect downtime from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM CET.
The My Opera team wants to thank you for your patience in this matter.

Well, my job meeting venture went bust last Thursday evening. Arrived at my destination only to find... three dozen other applicants gathered in a conference room in what appeared to be a job fair. I wasn't told about this specifically on the phone beforehand, however, and it didn't get much better after my arrival. Everyone received an application along with paperwork to fill out, viewed a video about the position involved, and took timed tests. By the time I was out of there about 90 minutes or so later, I had to drive back home in a blizzard. Total utter waste of my time. And after review of the itinerary I knew I definitely wasn't a match. Back to the boards!

I'm all set to hit the polls tomorrow. Compiled my personal ballot to take with me, got my ID, my mother's maiden name, etc. etc...
But with the earlier SNAFUs the county elections board has been experiencing once again getting the optical scanners and other electronic voting equipment properly synced and prepped, I doubt we're going to have final numbers until the end of this week. I loathe a repeat of the last election's disaster!
THE OHIO STATE BUCKEYES ARE STILL NUMBER ONE!!!!!! They played Illinois' Illini last Saturday afternoon and just edged them out with a 17-10 win. They were at their usual finesse in the first half, scoring two touchdowns, only to reach a bit of an impasse by the end of the third quarter on the defense end allowing Illinois to score a touchdown. But the Bucks maintained some slack, answering with a field goal to match Illini's by the middle of the fourth quarter before sealing the win and remaining undefeated!
Two weeks till we battle an equally undefeated Michigan!

Did I mention I'm one year older as of last Wednesday?

Here's a gem from today's Plain Dealer till my next entry:
NOW GET OUT AND VOTE!
