Kryptonite Cryptography

from my world to yours

Damn You, Google!

, , ,

OK, so I love Opera... AND I love Google. Unfortunately, that does not equate to Google loving Opera and vice versa. Both of the tools help me with my daily tasks, however, they are not too compatible... What should I do? Should I switch to Firefox and wait till Opera and Google start working together to fix the problem? Or should I use Opera in defiance of my personal working comfort that Google brings?

More TF Goodness! This is just too cruel...

I see your point...
That's why Firefox's browser usage is so high! p
But IE for business... is it safe?

Here in USA the companies only create software for reporting like in Fetch or in sites where I have to do my reports and they are not FF friendly..

I don't like IE for reason which are the security issues however, the sites I need to do my reporting on wont work in FF..

Even banks won't work in FF.. they give you a message to get IE lol

They believe Encryption is better in IE .. go figure lol

FF rules !

Hmm... Why do you not use just Firefox of just Opera for anything other than banking than? Why do you need Opera for blogging or Firefox for other browsing?

I love the features that Opera has for blogging not surfing
like NOTES, the HTML, also file transfers are faster.

Banking I have to use IE sad like I said the banks want the high encryption FF I guess does not have it?

I like FF for tab browsing and also all the tweeks it has and the auto fill for passwords bigsmile that's my favorite

Well, if you like FF and just want to use all-in-one browser, including blogging, etc. you could use some add-ons for FireFox. Being more of an Opera fan, rather than FireFox fan (even though I like it too), I realize you will probably stop using Opera after this at all, but hey! Maybe it will make your browsing easier wink Here is the list that I think you may find useful:

This one is a download manager that I haven't found a better alternative to. It can download all the files on the web-page of the same type (for example, only video, or only audio, or only MS Word documents, etc.) in one click:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/201

If you use Google a lot, it has developed a FireFox extension similar to Opera's Notes, only BETTER. If you save something in Google Notebook, you can view the notes on any computer, all you have to do is login into your Google account:
http://www.google.com/notebook/download

If you don't have Google account then you can use ScrapBook. ScrapBook is something similar to Opera's notes:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/427

I have one question, though. What tweaks in FF are you talking about in the last line of the comment? All I know is that FF can save your login info, but that's about it.

Thanks for the links and your time writing this..

I use video download where I can download videos on yourtube.
also torrent tool bar, FF updates all my plug ins automatically
and gmail works great inside FF where as in IE not.

I don't get error messages in FF as I do in IE or crashes sad

I didn't know about Google notebook I will have to check it out.

I have a music plug in right now I forgot what it's called I installed it in IE however, it never works sad

I also like the feature of themes with FF IE themes always has other things inside them and I don't like forced programs or tool bars !

Thanks again
Fati

I just realized how you can avoid using IE completely! FF has a nice addon called IE Tab that can use IE rendering engine right inside your Firefox! You can even compile a list of websites that FF will know when to automatically switch to IE engine wink Here is the link:
