About me

Hey there fellow web traveler, welcome to the infamous about section. My name is Aleksander Aas (Norwegian for small hill, no anatomy reference). I sometimes go under the username AleksAas, Aleksander.Aas or AleksanderAas. I might also use my gaming handle Porpheus or Porph.

I live in Oslo, Norway where I was born, more or less raised and educated. When not working I enjoy spending time Online with friends all over the world, play around with a few hundred more or less clever ideas.

My work

I started working in Opera in 2008 as a community moderator while studying Technology Organization and teaching at the University of Oslo. After graduation I started working full-time with social media. I've also held a few presentations here and there, but my main focus is spreading Opera and engaging with our users.

I currently work as a Community Manager for Opera. This makes me one of the people who post interesting things on Choose Opera, as well as update our international social media sites.
