@media - Part two

Following up on the last post, it's time to get the next one going. We had a quick lunch at a Brazilian place, imagen that Patrick! (And thanks for keeping Sushi alive) After some discussion about the first half of the speakers it was time to head on back to the conference center for day one part two!
Dan Rubin was up next talking about designing virtual realism. This might sound a bit flakky, but the idea was to use images and breake up single colors with either texture (pref from real life images as CGI just isn't that good and always will look fake) or by adding noise to the colors to breake the monotone look of it. I did try to play around with his ideas at home last night and I must say that he had several good points.
Following Dan was Mark Boulton, talking about fonts online. He gave a bit of a walktrhough of modern typography and alot of tips. Ha also gave us some teasers regarding the upcomming Typekit site. Take a look!
Then it was time for one of my all time favorite designers, Jason Santa Maria You should check out his site, it's awesome with a small cherry on top. His talk about design procedures was filled to the rim of small tips for designing your page. I'll be sure to give him full credit for some of the things I'll be doing on my redesign.
The evening was wraped up with a little bar session followed by a one hour and fifthen minute walk back to the hotel at eleven by me and Espen while other people possibly took it a bit further
So, lengthy post, so I'll split up once again for a part three later!
