EFSA Christmas

Our great Vilnius University Economics fakulty students' representation (EFSA) decided to celebrate Christmas a little bit earlier  More than 50 students' representation members drove to Kuosynė where cosy and warm old village house was rented  Organizers of the event made that house as a real Santa house with snow, christmas trees, Christmas wine and a lot of mandarins  It was too small for 50 people, but we are students and it wasn't a problem to us  In a house which was full of people we felt much more cosier  Everything went not bad but good  Here you can see some photos of EFSA Christmas 2008

"EVO Performance" winter slalom 1'st stage

Why should we wait for winter? The answer is only one - winter slalom! This weekend one great company organized "EVO performance" winter slalom 1'st stage in Trakai (near Vilnius) and it was awesome! Unfortunately, there was not snow, because recent years weather is too warm... Maybe it is global warming?... :frown: Anyway, despite the fact there was no snow, drivers managed to make us applause and enjoy the show  I may say that it was great start of slalom season  More than 60 participants and 5 hours of driving flirt Like and always here i have some ! ! ! P H O T O S ! ! !

In 1918 November 23 Lithuanian Prime Minister A.Voldemaras put his signature on order to establish Lithuanian armed forces. Due to this hystorical event today's military made solemn parade. Slalom in Jonava

Some days ago i with my friend decided to see how professional drivers compete in slalom championship  This competition took place in Jonava near recreation centre It was quite long event (about 5 hours), but cars wasn't so good as we expected... This is real proof that Lithuanians like all car sports but not slalom... i don't know why, maybe in winter everything will change?... Of course, organization, the wheather and some drivers were totally cool so here i have some ! ! ! ! P H O T O S ! ! ! ! for you

"Lada" touring rally

The 25'th of October probably is the best day this year to Astras' drivers  "Lada" club organized touring rally and it was amazing  Who doesn't know i can say that touring rally is somekind of street challenge but in every check point you have to complete various tasks (change wheel, answer questions about driving rules, drive slalom...). Beside, you can't drive faster than the speed limits are  All in all, two Opel Astra cars won 1 cup, 1 screwdriver kit, 6 medals and 7 diplomas  Superb touring rally, organizers and all the day  ! ! ! ! P_H_O_T_O_S ! ! ! ! and video clip of slalom  ! ! ! VIDEO ! ! !

Rally "Aplink Lietuva 2008"

Lithuanian Rally Championship 2008 ended  The last stage called "Aplink Lietuva 2008" was expected to be amazing not only because it is car rally  but also because after this stage it will clare who is whole seoson's champion  The day started with some rain and quite cold wind, but after first car's start we forgot everything  The sound of engines, powerful mining of rit with 4 wheels and concentrated racers' faces can't leave you apathetic  More than 100 km of race and we have our champions  They are Vytautas Švedas and Žilvinas Sakalauskas with Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX. it took only 50 minutes and 57 seconds to drive 100 km  The second was R.Lipeikis crew and they laged behind V. Švedas only 24 seconds! The third were Ramūnas Čapkauskas and Tomas Šipkauskas who laged behind winners only 1:04 minutes  Can you imagine how everything was amazing? :D Oh by the way! There was and Škoda Fabia WRC but its crew finished the race in a ditch... Anyway, all photos (including Škoda in the ditch) are here -->

Crete (Greece)

Crete is an island that belongs to Greece. We have heard about it very much and now it was time to see that paradise our-selves  As and i expected it really didn't disappointed me  People were hospatible, polite and understanding, nature was absolutely different from Lithuania's i mean there are not so much green colour, animals and plains, hotel was fabilous and food - just perfect  I think now it is clear that my holiday was totaly amazing  I have writen some comments at the bottom of pictures, because here it would be not interesting to read  It was very very hard to choose which photos to upload (all in all i have 1250 of them but it is too much :D), but i think here is the best ones  ! ! ! ! Rally "Kauno ruduo 2008"

Rally "Kauno ruduo 2008" was expected to be one of the best rallies ever been in Lithuania: the first sector in 600 year old Kaunas Oldtown where streets are cobblied, two WRC cars, the best drivers from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia... But when LASF (Lithuanian auto sport federation) decided that "Kauno ruduo 2008" wont be one of the stages in Lithuanian rally championship everything changed... Registered only 22 of of 70 teams, Kaunas government canceled decision to let rally cars drive in Oldtown on 130 km/h speed and most good drivers from Lithuania spent their time somewhere else, but not in this rally... All in all it wasn't so bad anyway  It was quite good race, but too short and that's it! Organizers made their job really great! We saw leaders of Latvian rally championship, visited "Velnio duobe", did sighstseeing in Kaunas and spent our time in fresh air  What could be better? But maybe it would be better if you check out my ! ! ! P H O T O S ! ! !
