Lotus Garden

Quietly, we embrace in a world lit up by words

The Gift Of The Leaf

The Gift Of The Leaf
A leaf flies the wind
Swirling like a soaring wing

Gracefully gliding catches my sight
Drawing me to halt viewing tight

My spirit floats to be a part
I feel the beating of its heart

At last the leaf flutters down at my feet
I pick up and cherish it as a bookmark fleet

Going through autumn to summer
Its color has turned fire with charisma

The gift of what it means to fly
Have it flaming up to the sky

Above the clouds is my soul
Making my life with a goal

This wonderful imagery just spellbounds the reader!

"My spirit floats to be a part
I feel the beating of its heart"

The heart-shaped leaves or hearts "Swirling like a soaring wing" have found their identity with the "majestical leaf"...! It's a superb piece of poetry!

I wish you write more and more such nice and beautiful poems. Wish you all the best!

Gopal.
