Good bye Eee PC, Y talo thar MSI Wind

,

We've discussed the past couple of days, and we figured that we'd rather want to spend additional 1000 NOK (about $200, €125) on a stronger, and hopefully more reliable computer. It's more powerful and has a larger screen, but it's only about 10% more in size than the Eee PC. It also has a large harddisk of 80 GB, compared to the Eee PC's 16 GB harddisk.

We've ordered a white Wind for Anniken, and a black for me. I am looking very much forward to it, and I hope that we'll get it before school starts up.

Warmth.Vacation!

Not to mention you will have a tried and tested, and more durable Standard HDD over a reletively new Solidstate Disk technology.
Enjoy you new PC.

Thank you, I will... whenever it comes to Norway. It has no concrete schedule for arrival, except "during August". I merely hope that it will arrive in time for school startup the 19th

Uncanny similarity: My new college is starting 22nd August too!

What I meant by school was college. My first two days are consisting of "get-to-know-the-school-the-class-and-the-area" stuff. The real deal starts August 21st.

Lolz... I tried Wind. It use Intel Atom, on-the-fly overclock, the same as EEE PC 901. It's good actually, but EEE PC 901's batteries stand longer than MSI Wind. Besides, MSI Wind's touchpad ish too small.

Btw... I like your articles bout PCs!

I haven't tried nor seen an EEE PC 901, so I cannot claim to know what's better. The Wind I use now has only a 3-cell battery, which gives it a lifespan of about 2.5 hours. I intend to purchase the 6-cell battery when I can get my hands on one, as it has a whopping 5.5 hours lifespan time.

And thank you. I will try to put some more when I get my hands on some useful information.
