my life in [x] lines

Hello

long time no posts. I've been very busy lately with school, music, social life, etc. but it's time to post again bigsmile

I want to show you a few things, firstly, a new front for the "nootjes" (see a few posts below)

I was a bit too late to make one, so it's just simple a few brushes and use of vanishing point (had one hour for it, including the thinking process p) but I think it came out pretty decent.

secondly, I want to show you a creation for school. We are designing a concept car (and do all the techniques behind it) and I had to make a car for that. I'm myself pretty satisfied with the result, although it's not completely finished yet.
I want to make more beautiful lights, and just make it a bit more realistic.

the car is about to become the smallest car in the world (if it would be produced). For the enviromental's sake, it's an electric car, with the dimensions: 132,5cm x 90cm x 105 cm (L x W x H)
(the smallest car now is the Peel P50)

here is it:

I hope to get some tips about what to change smile

that's it for now!

Cheerio,

Music and Design

, , , ...

Hiya!

Well, let's post again p
This time a new design for a "magazine" of the ZJO (Zeeuws Jeugd Orkest => Zeeland Youth Orchestra)

First, I made an other version, but that version was in full-color, and I heard afterwards that this one had to be in BW. So I had to make a new one in a heck of a short time.
but here it is:

please comment smile

And don't worry about the other version, because that one will get on the front of an other cover!

ok, that was the graphic part, now the music part smile

This weekend I went with ZJO to Elst, Netherlands. Here we had an "studieweekend". This is a weekend where we go to somewhere, and have a few rehearsals of the pieces that we play, and lots of free time (and almost no sleep p)

We've played pieces such as:
Schubert - Ballet music no.2 Rosamunde
Vivaldi - Concerto in D minor op 7 nr 2
A promise to return (Battlestar Galactica)
Blaha - Concerto for Youth orchestra and Piano (a piece specially written for piano and us)
Albinoni - Concerto a cinque Opus 9 no 2 in D minor

We're almost done with Schubert, just the last hurdles.
Vivaldi is a lot more work, but I believe we'll have that finished in time for the concerts.
A promise to return is a piece we won't perform on the concerts, but it's really beautifully to hear and play smile
Blaha, well, that's the biggest "hurdle". The music itself is very beautiful, but the way we perform it... well, there's a lot that has to be done before we are able to perform that.
Albinoni is one of the most beautiful oboe pieces ever written, and I've got the solo bigsmile (for the ppl who don't know that, I play the oboe)

and last but not least, I want to tell you about music that is also VERY beautiful. it's from Ludovico Einaudi. Einaudi's music is best described as classical minimalistic. He uses simple elements, but the effect is subtile and satisfying. The album is called "Divenire", that means "become". This is some of the best piano music I've ever heard. His album "Le onde" is also very beautiful.

Music

, , , ...

Hi all!

Over the time I've collected a lot of music, but I'm in search of something new, preferably something relaxed.
Do you guys have any tips for music (may be anything, from classical to pop)?

Thanks!

J.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Hiya,

after a while of inactivity, I'm BACK! *muwhahahahahah*

well let me tell you something about what I all did in that time:

-went to Prague
-went to England
-bought a new DSLR (finally:P)
-went back to school after vacation -_-
-made a few new things

well, not that much... but it was fun smile
I went to Prague with the "Zeeuws Jeugdorkest" (ZJO => Zeeland Youth Orchestra) and we had a few concerts there, and a lot of spare time smile
unlucky me, the camera was broken just the day before we left, so I couldn't take any pictures sad
but it was a great there smile

After we got back from Prague, I almost inmediately went to England. We go there for 11 years now orso, navigating the canals on a narrowboat. I love to do that smile

and I bought a new DSLR smile It's about damn time p
It's a Canon EOS 450D, with 2 lenses, the 18-55mm F4-5.6 and the 55-250mm F4-5.6. I'm very satisfied with this camera at the moment, and I'm learning more and more about photography.

then the least fun bit: I had to go back to school. I'm now in 4th grade, and still have to go through 2 more grades before my exams. but well, it's great to meet your friend again etc.
I also made a few things, mostly posters for different party's.

I notice now that I don't photoshop that much any more, I have to find new inspiration...

redoing the pic

I decided to re-make the picture down below, I'm not satisfied about the result, so I'll try to make a new one, that's better.
