Quirk Life

A life only the radomest could love...

Clockwise? Counterclockwise? Or both...?

I'm not sure if any of y'all have seen this before. I find it maddening. I just barely after like a month of glancing at it and trying a whole series of tricks got it to work.

It's an optical allusion, apparently. See, you'll either see her rotating clockwise or counterclockwise. If you see her rotating clockwise your using your right side your brain and if she's rotating counterclockwise than your using the left side of your brain.

It's practically impossible to get it to switch... Good luck.

I'm BAAACCCK!

counter

Amy_E 20. February 2008, 00:26

I saw it clockwise at first, but now I can see it bothways!

slimex 21. February 2008, 16:56

Wierd one. I saw it clockwise in the first time, then i used the same trick to see Sterogram 3D pictures. The trick is not to look direct on the picture, but let it blur, then it began to move counter. After that it was hard to see it clockwise again. It is posible to change it but it is very hard

U have to belive it is changeable p:

Mickeyjoe_irl 21. February 2008, 17:41

I can get it to change directions now.

What I have to do is scroll down so the picture is off the screen, then decide which way I want her to turn. Once I have decided I slowly scroll up while concentrating on which direction I want to see.

Normally I see it counter, but if I concentrate I can see it clockwise just as well. I try to concentrate on the upper leg and try to imagine that is in fact on the front side when it mooves from right to left.

It is a good trick, but I don't believe there is any connection with the use of brain hemispheres.

still clockwise :eyes:

MOUNTAINLION 26. February 2008, 01:22

look at Amy`s picture same time it s very easy to find out hehe

slimex 26. February 2008, 01:25

Dont look direct to the picture you have to be able to see the pic in the eye corner and see the leg try to revers it then look back to the picture slovly
it is hard first time but after that you can turn it easy

Amy_E 26. February 2008, 02:50

I've heard that if you like cover that top half of her up and than just look at her legs and feet you can sort of get it to switch...

pkmink 26. February 2008, 10:30

Yep, now I see it counterclockwise, thanks to Slimex' and Amy's methods...weird stuff

EivindFS 26. February 2008, 20:33

Haha, nice one. I can make the switch easily when she's turned on her side and the one leg covers up the other. That seems to be the key point.

Deke 27. February 2008, 01:45

I've got her to do a half turn then go back for a half turn and repeat, but as soon as I lose concentration she goes right back to clockwise. Making her go anti-clockwise hurts my brain.

At least it proves that I've got one...

Clockwise. And, she needs clothes. :o:

E. Driver 1. June 2008, 11:24

Here it's counterclockwise.

Deke 1. June 2008, 16:56

Coo. If I look with both eyes she goes clockwise, if I watch with one eye closed she reverses...

Class10a1 13. July 2008, 07:29

counterclockwise! :D

auk_9_1_1 28. October 2008, 01:00

i dont know for sure, but yes, i dont believe theres any brain sphere connection here. but yeah, im right handed and i see her clockwise at first glance, but a major factor on that is also what i see first. and its EASY to switch with just a little concentration. Its harded looking at the raised foot, though i can easily now, but yes, look at the foot on the ground and its easy with a little thinking.

Deke 29. October 2008, 20:47

She seems to be spinning a whole lot faster today.

Clockwise for me! But it makes me dizzy!!!
