No Windows Mobile for me!

Palm's recent release of the Treo Pro with its embedded GPS and Wifi, really whetted my gadget appetite!
The recent release of a 16GB microSD didn't hurt either, as that meant I'd have enough storage for all my maps and music. StyleTap would hopefully bridge the gap between PalmOS and WinMob.
What's the problem?
Well, after spending $$$ on a new phone that I don't really need, then $$$ on the 16GB microSD that I would need if I got the phone, I'd then be faced with spending $$$$ in order to be able to develop applications for it (the Professional edition is required for Mobile development). It's almost as much as the phone and microSD combined!
I can download PalmOS development tools for free. I'm waiting for Nova (or whatever the sucessor to PalmOS ends up being).
PS. Don't even get me started on iPhone development. I'd need a whole new computer as well!
