A lazy Saturday

Got up early today, the Cape Town weather is perfect. Were lying in bed reading, got up, had a little workout. What a nice start to the day.
Today I have some family coming over to visit me. Have not seen them in a while. I think I will braai some meat outside. A traditional South African way of grilling meat outside on coals. With some interesting salads ans side dishes. My favourite side dish is garlic bread of course. Most people make beer their traditional side dish, and many of my mates have a firm believe you cannot braai without a beer.
I will have to be off to the mall, as there are a few things I need. Hopefully my guests will not be too early. I want too prepare a nice treat for them. The day is perfect. Im hoping i get a chance late morning to go walk on the beach. Till later

The Weather

,

Weather in Cape Town is just perfect today. I just took a walk next to the beach close to where I work. The beach is white, the sea is blue and it is warm but not hot.
The weather rarely hits 40 degrees Celsius and most days in summer are around the late twenties. Mid thirties is considered a heat wave. We have had a few warm days the last few days and it has been a bit windy. Today, however, its just perfect.
I realize how great the weather here in Cape Town is. Summers are not too hot. In Winter the tepperature very rarely goes below freeze point and we in rare cases only see snow on the mountain tops. It is a winter rainfall area so we have our wet season in winter. Which is about June to August.
Cape Town is a great place to stay, work, do business in and enjoy life. I will be posting some pictures about places here soon.

Entertainment in Cape Town

,

Cape Town has always been the easy living city of South Africa. Plenty of places to see, a diverse population of different people and good weather. This set the stage for a lot of entertainment options.
South Africans from other Cities think the people of Cape Town have a holiday type of lifestyle. But hey, we have great beaches, lots of nightclubs, lots of sunshine (long daytime hours), and great natural scenery.
Tonight there is a buzz in the air as it is the U2 concert at Cape Town's Green point football stadium. A great venue built for the 2010 FIFA world cup. Trafic to the CBD will be closed and people will have to make use of public transport where they can, to prevent any congestion. I will not be at the concert as U2 is not really my cup of tea, but I do think they are a really great band and I relly like some of their songs. I hope everyone at the concert enjoy themselves and have a great time.
Other options for entertainment would include the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront or Grand West Casino which offers some great restaurants, cinemas and lots of other entertainment. There are a lot of clubs, great bars, pubs, and restaurants offering a variety of great food and entertainment.
Cape Town is certainly a nice place to stay entertained and you will always find something to do.
