Review - Wolf and Spice

Wolf and Spice

I must admit I’m a sucker for a girl in wolf ears and tail. Or in this case, a demi-werewolf-goddess who convinces a travelling merchant to take her back to her birthplace. Set in the period of middle ages Europe, Horo becomes a troublesome thing for Lawrence the merchant, that is if the Church catches wind of her.

Based on a series of light novels and soon to be anime, I can hardly wait for the series to air. Until then only a few scraps of manga (only a couple of chapters available so far) will do.

First View - Ghost Hound

Ghost Hound

Being i.g.’s 20th anniversary, the production staff has decided on an original concept of Ghost in the Shell creator, Masamune Shirow. The result is a mental and visual disturbing look at the seen and unseen world. Such is Ghost Hound, a spiritual yet pychological thriller.

First Views - Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and Doujin Work

This sunday's meeting we reviewed two shows, the latest Gundam series, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and anime short (15 minutes long) Doujin Work.

Gundam 00_Doujin Work

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 is set in energy strap world where blocks of countries depend on orbiting solar farms connected to orbital elevators. As miltary mobile suits proliferation grows uncheck, a group known as Celestrial Being takes up arms against this new weapons race with ultratech Gundams. In the end, will the Gundam Masters succeed to stop all wars or only escalate war itself.

Doujin Work, on the other hand is a comical look at the Doujinshi market with a twist or is it a twisted look. Can Osana Najimi really make money at selling Doujinshi without being tainted by it's darker side?

I will be trying to get through Friday’s and Saturday’s pictures quickly then start scanning the biz cards of the artists.

Since it is the long weekend, I will be trying to get through the backlog of video by at least doing the first pass to burn onto data DVDs for later editting in the second pass.

With two meetings on seperate days, we manage to sneak in an extra review this time. We reviewed Devil May Cry on Sunday then on Tuesday, we added Lucky Star at the last moment.

Devil May CryLucky Star

Oddly one is about a video game character turned anime while the other is anime characters talking about videogames.

Beginning of things ... again.

My first post here though I doubt if anyone will see... my activation key seems to come up broke, 404.

A little disappointing since I was looking for ways to program my site to be more friendly to the DS and Wii browsers and maybe have an online game for these web capable consoles. I was more intereted in the forums than the rest of this. It's hard to find stuff on these console brwosers from a webmaster's view which is proberly why they're suffering acceptance as viable online tool.

After all, trying to upkeep not only my website but also a score of other sites as well like lives.spaces, myspace, youtube, dailymotion and now revver. I feel I'm spread too thin while my own content suffers.

So here's another space to fill while I look for answers for my own site.
