Some moments from life

Imperial crumbs

This is Hungarian dish originally. Some say it is Austrian. I found it when I was browsing and decided to try to make it.

Ingredients:

- two eggs
- two teaspoons sugar
- 150 ml milk
- 100 g flour
- oil for frying
- plum jam
- cinnamon or vanilla
Method:

Beat eggs, add sugar, flour and milk to form homogenized batter. Fry it like this: first let it become solid and then use a spoon to make crumbs all time frying. When it is done, serve with jam. smile Oh, it goes very well with coffee. up

There is a savory variety as well. Then, it can be served with ayvar, cheese... It can be made with bread instead of flour, some even make with corn flour.

So simple, but delicious dish! If you eat it for breakfast, you will have energy for a whole day and won't be hungry soon. up

These are essentially pancakes (crepes for Americans), except cut into little pieces instead of rolled up with the jam inside. Sounds like it could be an interesting variation, though.

This dish sounds familiar to me, maybe I've tried it before... Anything that's sweet is good enough for me smile

I tried crumbs with several kinds of jam like plum, apricot,... but I must admit that for me is the best with plum jam and I even don't like plum jam much, but this combination works! up
