Hello and welcome to the gaming group, AquaGaming. The title comes from "Aqua," the default Mac OS X system theme, and "Gaming," a term used to define the action of playing a video game for hours on end. I decided to open this group because I felt that there was a serious lack in game reviews for games on the Mac OS. There's maybe one website that comes to mind, however that is not a community driven project, which is my aim for this My Opera group....

The title comes from"Aqua," the default Mac OS X system theme, and "Gaming," a term used to define the action of playing a video game for hours on end. I decided to open this group because I felt that there was a serious lack in game reviews for games on the Mac OS. There's maybe one website that comes to mind, however that is not a community driven project, which is my aim for this My Opera group.
The goal is to have users [members of the group] post their own reviews in the forum and then I either try and take the review and bring it into a set standard I plan to design (so as to provide consistency in the blog post reviews) or I will play and review the game myself, providing a link to the forum post of the initial review so that the person read on my blog then has two reviews to look at.
As a last note, gamers will be defined by one of two types. Either the person will be a light gamer - someone who maybe doesn't like playing MMORPGs (Massively Multi-player Online Role Playing Games] or FPSs [First Person Shooters] a whole lot, or at least for more than an hour at a time, and instead finds single player games more fun - and hardcore gamer - someone who will sacrifice hours at a time playing a single game. This will make it easier for people to search and find games that they are interested in. So, each blog post review will have a label saying who the game is most geared towards (in my opinion).
Well, that's all for now, hopefully I'll have a review up soon.
