Post Rock Opera 'Gungadin', Gilbert's Theme

,

This is next step in the making of the announced post rock opera. The theme is supposed to bring forth an understanding of the main character of the story, young Gilbert Ounce, a troubled youth struggling with the conventions of his culture in his quest to require fame and succes in the world of showbusiness.

The tune describes in musical terms the bipolar condition of Gilbert's personality.

Enjoy, if you do.

I like the deep bass drum sounds in the first part of it. And the final measure or two is really crafty.

BTW, I was wondering if you could give a very quick summary of the opera. I think it would help me to follow the music better.

I shall, Ed. I guess it will only be a rough outline, and I don't think it will ever get to be anything more than that, but just for the fun of it, I will give you first act as soon as I get around to it.

Thanks, Martin. Always nice to be familiar with the 'libretto' -- smile

I hope you are all moved now and that things are getting back in order.

Very moodswingy. I was waiting for the last bit to show up, because I knew how it would feel, but not how it would sound.
