My dear friends I'm starting a new blog. It is up to u to make my new blog a better blog filled with love  I miss some girls (opera is giving me troubble, or something ) Hopefully my friends will continue their good work on this blog, and the new blog will make it easier for new peoples to join. It is better to keep political statements on my old blog. To start off:
Fundamentalism: The enemies say that this is like intolerance. A fundamentalist would say that it means to take one owns religious scriptures seriously. I'll like to take the Bible serious, and i think there are deep truths in most other religious books etc. Who can understand God, exept God

am i little confused??

What is a cow doing here??

I might sound ignorant.. but what has a cow to do with fundamentalism?

Or difference of views?

Nic.. are you on one of your confuse Hitesha sprees?

But I like what you said earlier Arne..

Often the meaning of a word is twisted by us mortals to suit our conveniences!! Which then even means that ashering to religious sriptures can be percieved at different levels by different individuals!

It was just in order to show Arne how to place a smiley or pic or image in a post. If he goes in edit mode he can see the code...just trying to help :D

Most religion teach good things about life, society as a whole etc only those twisted mind will preach intolerance toward other. If there is Kukluxklan in the west, so there is Osama bin laden in the mid east. There is a always a bad apple in every basket

In Poland there is a saying: 'over-zeal is worse than nazism'. Too bad we have some overzealous catholics in the country... they're mostly the old, for whom religion is a kind of hobby... those holier than thou, you know

By Villain, # 18. September 2007, 17:48:03

avatar
Dear Mona. As an over-zeal old man I must tell you that I completely agree with you. I remember that I was so angry on the old people in my church that told us not to drink, not to dance, not to smoke, but to go to the church, and than we were saved. I thought other things were more important, and I still think so now. flirt

By Arnekrilu, # 18. September 2007, 18:48:49

avatar
It's not being overzealous.
Being overzealous is saying that if someone is different, then he must be punished. It's giving public money to build catholic churches. It's saying that catholic religion classes at school must be obligatory for everyone.
That's what I call being overzealous.

By Villain, # 18. September 2007, 22:21:25

avatar
Dear Mona. Tank you for your remark. I agree with everything you say. But I think you are touching on a deeper problem. The misuse of any religion. A church should be used as a refuge for anybody in need. We had church asylums in Norway, and a few illegal immigrants still live in churches, but of course it has practically been stopped by now by the church- and governement authorities.
But I pray that I may bee true to the love of God. It is difficult.

Yup, it's difficult
But rewarding

You state: "Who can understand God, exept God"

I believe there are levels of understanding that God would give us about Himself. He has said so much in the Bible about who He is and is not. "God is love" "God sees the heart" God loved the world so much etc. We don't have to complicate the simplicity of these truths.

No we can not comprehend things with total understanding as He does, but we can know Him, His love, His Joy at our love of Him just like a human father has toward his children.

So I don't think He wants us to live in a state of ignorance of who He is and How He feels about us.

"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God."
1 John 4:7

He did say His Spirit will guide us into all truth.
John 16:13

But what about those people which are involved in - for example - the 911 event? Everyone who wants to know the truth comes finally to the result, that 911 was planned and executed by the american government and "Controlled Demolitions Inc."

What about these guys? Are they born of god, too? Does this bring love? Or did this happen to have a reason for making war and getting access to oilfields?

Some facts about 911: - Steel and Titan have a higher melting temperature than burning plane fuel (Kerosene) can reach. There are about 800 degrees difference. Burning Kerosene can NOT even reach a temperature high enough to weaken steel. This is science, the rules of our universe (made by god?) and they will never change, such as the speed of light will stay the speed of light, not faster, not slower!
- The buildings collapsed with nearly free fall speed. But the official version says that a chain reaction happened and that the floors broke loose from the top and broke down all other floors under them. If this would be truth the towers must have collapsed with much more time than 10 seconds. This is science, too. (Newtons rules of accelleration) You only need to know the height and then you can calculate the time the towers would have needed to completely collapse with free fall speed. The calculated time is 9,2 seconds and this is exactly the time one tower needed to collapse.
- What about building 7? It collapsed and was never hit by a plane. There were fires on 3 floors in building 7 but the firefighters said, that these fires were under control. The first time in history a building made of steel-concrete collapsed because of fire. This day THREE builings of steel-concrete collapsed due to fires.
- BBC reported the destruction of building 7 twenty minutes before it collapsed.

There are a lot more facts which show that there never were muslim "terrorists".

Dear hamstor. You always present thought provocing matters. I ca'nt believe that 911 is a false story put up by powers in US, but the facts from the Pentagon incident was something to think about. We are seldom presented with the whole truth. The video stopped half away. As you have pointed to before, even Hitler had to have some good in him. We are resposible for our choises, and we have to try to fight against evil as best as we can, or we my ourselves become part of evil. Good luck in your part of the fight. I'm searcing for my part, constantly. :knight:

Thank you for visiting my blog, I cycle now as I did when I was young. And as I cycle through the countryside I think, or rather, I non-think and contemplate. Look within a seed and you see nothing and everything. By itself one seed will feed no one and yet it can feed multitudes. I contemplated your words about "rice Christians". In our way, we are all like them, and accept "a bowl of rice" and convert to something - our work, our studies, our parents, our spouse, our government,to something we believe in. Kindness is the universal language. Thank you for your blog. I would also like a beer in Belgrad. A virtual beer would be best for me since I no longer drink, but always remember fondly the taste. What beer would you suggest?

By doncolleyjr, # 20. January 2008, 02:22:02

avatar
Thank you for your thoughtful comment doncolleyjr. The danish non alcoholic beer Munkholm tates good I think. Kindness is the universal language but it is being more and more misused e.g. in the war in Afganistan by making it an important part of the military strategy, and forgtting the Geneva convention.
