Why not 8.04 or 8.10?

Sorry, but you couldn't try it a year ago, because 8.04 was released in April, and 8.10 was released a month ago wink
I heard that 8.10 has a lot new drivers built-in. Maybe it would work fine.

But your problem with top bar, hmm, it looks pretty weird. Have you tried different window theme? It can me connected with that particular theme. Try some others:

Have fun!

Using intrepid, Geforce support is supposed to be pretty kick ass. 7.10 is old school dude.

Upgrade to 8.4 with long term support then use wine, crossover or virtualbox to run your windows apps

PiklesOnFire Saturday, December 6, 2008 6:37:54 PM

like ubuntunerd suggested, I'd go with wine if it will run the windows apps you need, I personally can't see installing a full copy of Windows into a virt just for a few apps. Most games don't work under virtualization, for those I'd personally go with Cedega.

Great thing about linux, the choices are pretty much endless ;p

And on the the virtual machine are trying to adjast Debian.
Friends told me, that on Debian I can get more education and exp, than on Ubuntu. But I like them both wink

for 3d effects try installing the restricted drivers. or download and install some unofficial drivers instead of nvidia's. when I was using ubuntu (7.04 as I recall) this helped me with my ati x300 pci-e. and of course check for help when needed: ubuntuforums.org

Нашол что ставить на лептоп. И чем всем нравится убунту. На ней даже PPTP нормально не настроишь.
