Seminar Session 2::" feel the Opera..."@SISTec...on 25th Oct

HURREY!!

So finally completed my Second Session “feel the Opera! …” @ Sagar Institute of Science & Technology (SISTec),Today on 25th Oct’10.…under “Be the First Initiative” @ SISTec

Today, I and my OCC colleagues Nikhil and Sonam are on Zenith of happiness

and satisfaction;) as we have completed both the Opera sessions successfully with lots of zeal and enthusiasm

in Ourselves and in the audience too.

An Orientation Session On Opera 10.63 & Opera QUIZ ' was held at SISTec, Opp. International Airport, Bhopal, INDIA

Below are the details:
Event : feel the Opera!..the fastest browser on Earth
Date: 25th October 2010
Time: 12 Noon Onwards
Topics : Opera Softwares, SpeedDials, Turbo,Unite,Link, OCC.
Attendees : 150+ Students and Faculties.

This is my second event (Session), which also includes people from Our Management College too, I.e. SISTec-MBA.I too was really enthusiastic as I would be finally completing Session 2 of my first event, wearing my OCC T-Shirt. Even though the session have to start at 12 :00, Students were much more eager

than previous event to attend this event and participate in the quiz before getting 11:00. in the clock

At this time we are also having Our Seniors, MBA Students with us, who have shown their active participation in this program.
Discussions were carried out in details regarding the features Unite, Turbo , Link , Speed Dial , Visual Tabs.

” All of them got very much surprised when we showed them Live Demonstration of Unite and Turbo”

The live Demo on Opera Unite was loved by one and all and specifically appreciated was the File Sharing Feature and Music feature of Unite . Lots of questions did come up and were answered too . So this part was all about giving knowledge for about an hour or so .

Now the second part We carried forward with the "Opera-Quiz".

The tremendous response to Quiz in Session-1(on 22nd) made me put in more hardwork this time to make it more interactive and knowledge provider .
The audience response was AWESOME .

So After around 2 hours of starting the event we wrapped it up by declaring quiz winners with a cheerful smile on every 1s face...and with the quote:-

Seminar on Opera Softwares Session 1 :::::: "Open the web with OPERA!" 22 Oct'10

Hi, Opera World!.........

This is a Be The First! initiative by ASMIT KHARE, OCC, SISTec, BHOPAL
!!! WITH GREAT PLEASURE:love: & BIG SMILE ON MY FACE:D I m writing this blog about Opera Seminar " Open the Web with Opera!" @ Sagar Institute Of Science & Technolgy, Bhopal.

Two days before, ME and Nikhil set up all posters to the event venue and different notice boards, students corner and Labs. And made an announcement regarding the Quiz and Seminar.

We had good response from there side.
More than 150 students from my collage participated in the event..

Today,we started the Seminar on 12 Noon.

My Colleague Nikhil Sanyog

initiated the presentation with gr8 confidence and wonderful interaction with the attendees.
He introduced them about foundation of Opera Softwares and its Excellent Products.

Attendees were hearing and watching us with their EARS

n EYES

FULLY OPENED... as we already informed them that quiz will be based on Presentation only.

I started my session asking the participants that

what features they want in their ideal browser?

After their answers, I described about Excellent features of Opera such as Opera Unite , Turbo, Mail & Link etc... & all of them got their ideal Browser...which is none another than Opera!

When I Demonstrated them Using Opera and workiing with Tabs, Turbo, Unite and Links, they got Surprized

(Obviously they will... afterall Opera is much more than a browser).
There were large no of queries about Turbo and Link. but we sorted out them one by one.
I also gave them Live Demo of Opera 10.63.
In this event I had a Fresh OCC Colleague, Sonam Chambers ,with me who have contributed a lot in this event.
Finally after Giving some info about OCC and My Opera Community..there was a short quiz of 20 basic questions regarding Opera,computer history & the Internet in general.

I designed the quiz in a manner so that it created awareness about the topics presented; also the quiz was made simpler with the kind of options that was included. The quizzing part was the best in the event with active participation from all & sundry! I really had I great time presenting the quiz!

The event concluded with prize distribution of Opera swags & some other gifts that I included.
All I want to say is that I learned a lot while preparing for the event as well as while executing it! Not only did I gain knowledge about the Internet & Opera software but I also got a exposure of the real world problems that one faces while planning, publicizing & executing an event.

We are delighted to work with opera, and we had lots of fun while working for opera as a Campus Crew. Thank you Opera for creating such a wonderful learning experience for students across the globe.
