What is cool about Android?
Besides the picture that opens the article shows an XFCE desktop, not Android. If I am right.

Actually it is Android (: Cool thing is not simply about Android itself, but about migrating "average Joe" to ARM CPUs. This will make our netbooks quite, cold and uber-useful, because on ARM CPUs they can do useful tasks in stand-by mode just like cell phones do. And the great thing about Android is that Google showed us one more time that they can push technologies any way they want.

I thought Windows mobile supported ARM processors.

WM is not so fancy. Actually there were some netbook grand-pas with Windows CE, but they did not get much of popularity. Looks like Android will change that.
