AutoBright LCD 1.2.2

I would like to promote a very useful utility application written by Russian hardware guru Oleg Artamonov. It is called AutoBright LCD and it allows changing brightness/contrast settings of your LCD monitor automatically on per-application basis.
Why do we need such feature? Because when you read a lot of text or write a lot of text (work with Office, programming, surfing the web, etc) it is better for your eyes to lower contrast and brightness - you see a lot of white space with black letters. But when you play games and watch movies lowered contrast and brightness results in poor experience - there will be no white spaces.
AutoBright LCD controls your monitor through DDC/CI interface (you need to plug monitor through DVI, but I might be wrong here, and it works only under Windows Vista/Windows Seven as XP does not provide access to DDC/CI) and does the same work as you do pushing buttons on your monitor, but automatically. You can set as many application profiles as you want.
I find AutoBright LCD very useful and it's free for any usage (without code modification, of course). App web page is in Russian, but its interface is in English, so don't be afraid. Download links for every release are at the bottom of the page and look like Версия 1.2.2: скачать (569 кбайт) where 1.2.2 is the version of release.
