Quote for the Day

"Optimism is essential to achievement and it is also the foundation of courage and true progress."
-- Nicholas Murray Butler (winner of the Nobel Peace prize in 1931)

I wonder if part of the reason we live in fear so much in this country is because we keep surrounding ourselves with a media that is decidedly pessimistic. Everything is a problem or crisis and no one seems to know what to do. Maybe if we started to shift our thinking from problems to opportunities, we might just come up with some significant solutions. What do you think? Let me know.

Live bold,

Dave

It's Sunny Here in Washington

Just thinking, today, about how wonderful it is to have a bright, clear, sunny day here in the South Sound area of Washington state. It's not so rare during the summer months, but from about mid-October to mid-June its as rare as a bald cat. It's nice to see the sun.

Which reminds me that not everybody has had such luck. The east coast is really going through it right now. So let me encourage you to say a prayer for those who have suffered losses because of all the flooding and bad weather back east. And, for those of us who are dry, let's take some time to be thankful for the good things we have in life.

Have a great day, and live bold.

Dave
