About me

Personally:

Romantical-idealistical-enthusiastic-willing-dynamical-heart-broken guy. That's just about everything I admit to reveal about myself on the personal side. There isn't really more to it anyway.

Profesionally:

I began programming computers only in 1998, starting with Pascal, on an old computer from a Swedish friend of my father's (Intel 386 processor with 4 MB of RAM). My family is kind of poor so I couldn't afford a decent computer. The same friend of my father's gave us a year later an old 486 laptop. About 2 years and a half, Pascal was the only programming language I worked in.

In the year 2001 I was able (again, through the help of somebody outside my life and family) to buy an AMD K6 at 500 MHz. It is then when I was first acquainted with high-level programming languages. The first was Visual Basic 6. A couple of months later, Delphi 5 and 6 followed.

My first major projects were a security application for an Internet Cafe (2002, VB) and an IRC Robot with sockets (2002, Delphi). Also, 2002 meant my first contacts with Macromedia Flash, which is still one of my favourite softwares.

In October 2003 I was hired at a Romanian-USA company as a computer programmer and made my first contact with C#, MSSQL and JavaScript. In July 2005 I moved to a company where I worked in C++. Then, in March 2006 I returned to C#, this time with Postgre SQL.

My biggest and most important project in my free time is a VB soft that uses a VC++ DLL and elements from other programs. The first public beta will arrive on the 2nd of July 2006. This application was intended to be freeware and this is how it shall always remain.

I work in many different programs and I love to use elements from each of them, connecting them together so that I can get better results and take only the advantages from each.

I am also a music collector and astronomy impassionate and I love cycling and swimming. I also like to play computer games, but am very careful when investing my time in such a thing.

My work

An article on The Code Project about Inter Process Communication.

Articles about Formula 1 (season 2006) on www.autorally.ro but unfortunately, only in Romanian... it's a Romanian website.

Working hard as hell at two big projects:
- A freeware Clock application which is currently in Beta 2... first public beta should come in the second half of this year.
- A Heroes 3 In The Wake Of Gods super-map, very complex and with lots of computer programming in it (using ERM, a script used to handle game parameters).
