This recording is based on Nat Freedland's book of the same name. Released as a double LP record set in 1973 with a tripped out Gatefold sleeve, incorporating a 12 page booklet (w. illus. by Wilfried Satty), written by Freedland, a former LA Free Press columnist. Recordings feature interviews with, among others, Anton Szandor LaVey (Satanism), Alan Watts (Meditation), Thelma Moss (ESP), Peter Hurkos (Psychics), Rosemary Brown (Spiritualism and her ghost composing), Stantont Friedman (UFOs), Louise Huebner (Witchcraft), Indra Devi (Yoga), Barbra Birdfeather (Astrology), Craig Carpenter (Indian Magic), and two "Satanic inspired rock recordings" by British rockers Black Widow.

But you can pretty much assume the intro to nat freedland track comes 1st. Listen to rosemary brown's performance of Grubelei and the spiritualism interview about her spirit composing together. And the two black widow songs probably went together probably before or after the Anton Lavey satanism interview. Then everything else is pretty unrelated and self contained so it doesn't really matter what order you listen to the tracks.

In moments when I am really bored and also I suspect subconsciously feeling masochistic (only explanation I have as to why), I have been torturing myself by working on typing up the text from the booklet which I will post scans of along with that when I get it done (taking forever). Whoever scanned it cut off like a forth of the side of half the pages so the scans are good enough to see the pictures but total crap if you want to read it as every sentence that's more than a few words long on those pages is chopped up at some point. Deciphering the missing words is a pain. This is why I didn't include the booklet in this post to begin with.
