Bloody Shell - Remember Nanjing Massacre
Wednesday, 12. December 2007, 10:53:40

Every Chinese people will forever remember The day, 1937 Dec. 13, Japanese invaders committed the most terrible crime any human beings can imagine.
Can you imagine, 300000 people are killed in the most inhuman ways?
Can you imagine, A river was red with all the blood that the Chinese people shed?
===From Aprilsnow===
"... the number was actually more than 360,000 according to Japanese army documents, all these people were slaughtered (including raping of tens of thousands of women) within seven weeks, yes, number 7. The Yangzi River in Nanking was in red color.
Check out this John Hopkins article: Nanking Nightmare
But The Rape of Nanking was the suffering of only one of the many Chinese cities during the Japanese invasion. The total number of Chinese killed by Japanese imperial army in China was over 30 millions, i.e. 30,000,000.
And Japanese Prime minister often warships the war dead in the Japanese war shrine including Class A war criminals (the worst kind), many Japanese history textbooks deny the crimes such that young Japanese have no idea of such history. When talking about WWII, all they emphasize are the two atomic bombs.
The truth is that far more Chinese and other Asians, most civilians, were killed by Japanese army than the Japanese died of the atomic bombs."
See this.

I read the book "The Rape of Nanking" (sic), and was disgusted at Man's inhumanity in times of war.

Nazis killed millions of Jews, and German people expressed deepest regret. The world will forgive them. But here, TENS of MILLIONS of Chinese people were cut into PIECES and some people just say it's a LIE!
I don't know what to say or what to do, my dear friends...
By AzureTimm, # 13. December 2007, 02:33:54
Some Jews just hate anyone of German ethnicity here in the states, still, even though most ethinic-Germans lived here and fought for the USA during the war! It is terrible. Some people can never forgive or forget and Jewish people have this as a slogan! The people they should not forgive are all dead now, so they should forget and forgive all the ancestors, don't you think?????
Next time you post horrible photos, Timm, please warn me, as I don't want to view such atrocities!
You have my compassion and horror at such activities.
By momable, # 13. December 2007, 02:40:02
Believe it or not there are people that deny that also.
By devans186, # 13. December 2007, 16:29:05
This too is how they wound up with the concentration camp NUMBERS. When Jewish people were in concentration camps, etc, in Nazi Germany, they were hunted down by the numbers that were stamped on their wrists, and either shot or burned.
There is much history that people would like to hide, but, there is much history that some people don't even know exists in SOME other countries history books.
So, yes devans, there were a lot of Jews that were killed by Nazi Germany during & even after WW 2. Its a shame how this world treats people just because of their race or nationality or even their social status (i.e. the poor).
By SqueakeyCat, # 13. December 2007, 20:21:49
After the war, many countries in Europe marched the regular German people out of their countries -- resulting in many deaths of innocent women, children, and men. Their only crime was being of German desent!
That isn't in too many history books.
French people, too, were put in concentration camps. Some people were burned alive in their own ovens or bakeries!
Really, the crimes were not only done against the Jews. The poor, the sick, the mentally ill, the homosexuals, the Gypsies were all sent to the camps -- of every nationality, including German!!!!!

I'm sorry the photos disturbed you. But please consider this: They are black and white photos. What the TRUE thing will be like?
Unimaginable.
You feel sick merely to view these photos. What will Chinese people, who SUFFERED the INHUMAN crime, feel about the Truth?
The worst part is, As I stated, is that SOME JAPANESE JUST DENY it. DENY IT!
it's not that Chinese people are never forgiving. We need only the acknowledgement, the promise of never let this happen again. But will this never happen again if The Japanese Simply REFUSE to admit it???
consider it. This is no less inhuman than Nazi's massive killing of Jew people.
I apologize to you again if any of my remarks offended you, and I'll remove it immediately.
Regards, Timm.

Denying of crimes is even more disgusting.
Regards, Timm.

Some people will always deny things -- everything in the world is subject to that. Did men step on the moon -- some agree and some deny. Some people refuse to believe the world is round!!!!!
Did the Japanese government formally issue an apology ever? If they did, I wouldn't worry about the number of Japanese who adamantly refuse to believe this happened and say it is just propoganda.
If it didn't, well, you are a student; therefore, you have a lot of people around you; start a petition, contact other schools to also start a petition; gather all the signed petitions and send them to Japan asking for a formal apology since this issue really is a sensitive one with so many Chinese people!
You can make a difference here. Use real mail, real petitions -- not internet! You want to send real papers to the Japanese. Get school officials and trustees involved, perhaps they can also get signature from government officials? Get parents and everybody!!!!!!
Then, after you have all the paperwork, contact all the medias you can, worldwide, and show all the students of your school walking to the post office to mail these papers!
By momable, # 14. December 2007, 06:37:51
Believe me, we did such a petition. no use. EVERYONE in Japanese government denied it.
That's why we Chinese people never forgave the Japanese invaders- they not only refuse to apologize, they REFUSE to ACKNOWLEDGE it. THEY SAY THEY NEVER DID IT!!!

It is O.K. to do what your Opera friends suggest, but be very careful, as it is dangerous times in China for non-governmental action groups (remember the Falun Gong folks). Get offical permission before you proceed......
By Ravo, # 16. December 2007, 14:12:03
Of course.. That involves my own safety. I will surely attend to it.
But you know, these actions simply won't help if the Japanese goverment is determined to be what it is.
May those spirits rest.. I just hope one day they will really rest in peace.

One thing the Chinese government could do is to cut a deal with Iris Chang to reprint her book cheaply, millions of copies, one of which gets bundled into every shipment of goods from China to Japan. Her research is flawless from archives that cannot be disputed.
The Rape of Nanking: The Forgotten Holocaust of World War II:Iris Chang.

I didn't have the chance to view 'Lust Caution' so I don't know what it's about. So I don't think it right to just sign my name up for something I don't know.
Perhaps I'll make my decision after I know more about it.

By the way, China has long ago published the Chinese version of Iris Chang's book "Rape of Nanking", money is not an issue. A Japanese version was managed to be published just this week after a long struggle, however, I am not sure this is in Japan or in China.

I haven't seen the film "Lust. Caution" either and I won't see it. However, I know the story and I have read plenty about the movie.
The movie completely distorted a real Chinese hero's story, made a heroine a lust animal who fell in "love" with a traitor through animal-like sexual abuse including raping and gave up her mission to kill the traitor. The movie had three long sections of extremely graphic sex/abuse scenes. It was rated NC-17 for explicit sexuality (in US) and R for strong sexual content and a scene of brutal violence for its edited version.
The real story the movie was supposed to be based on was about Pingru Zheng, a beautiful daughter of a famous Chinese scholar/professor of Fudan University (yes, your university), who sacrificed her life in anti-Japan war in Shanghai in 1930s. Her whole family including her mother, a Japanese who couldn't stand the Japanese brutality, devoted to the resistance war, they did the most dangerous work for underground Chinese resistance forces through her father's status and her mother's connection to the Japanese high officials because Pingru's mother was from a aristocrat Japanese family.
Pingru was on a mission to kill a traitor who cooperated with the Japanese but the mission failed, she was arrested and brutally tortured in prison. The Japanese tried to make her father come out to openly support the Japanese occupation in exchange of getting his daughter out, but he refused despite the unbearable pain, her mother supported her father's decision, eventually the Japanese secretly killed Pingru. She was 23 when she died. With such a loss her father became sick and died a year later. Her brother was killed in a battle against Japanese in Chongqing, her fiance also died in a military mission in Hunan province.
The Chinese media regulator did nothing to stop such a horrible disgusting movie, such that so many people are angry, don't want such a trash. People started to protest in their blogs, for example, the link above showed one blog drew 197000 visitors and more than 800 comments in just a day or so. The link I gave you earlier has had 10 pages of signatures in just over 3 days. The real reason is that many people have become very concerned about the health of our value and our culture.

I signed my name. And I'm encouraging more of my classmates to do the same.
You should use your influence as a famous actor and singer and make the facts better known.
By AzureTimm, # 17. December 2007, 11:37:49
I willingly pretend to be a "famous actor and singer" as long as I can make someone to read the true history. By the way, I have corrected my typo "heroin" in previous post, I meant to say heroine.
