One Millllllllllllllllion Members!

The My Opera community is coming up on 1 million registered members, so I got to thinking. Apparently, I've been a member for over 3 and a half years! I registered in January 2004, but didn't make my first forum post (which is why I signed up) until September. I even reported a bug in my second post. 
Maybe it's my tech support helpdesk roots, but I feel good hanging around a community that helps each other out. I've seen a lot of message boards, and the forums here at My Opera are the friendliest and most helpful. As a long time Opera user, this is really what brought me to the community.
While the forums were the biggest draw for me, in the last year I've come to embrace other areas. I'm now active blogger and even spent a few days custom styling my blog. I regularly upload photos. I joined the Choose Opera group and promote it in my Opera Web Browser Facebook group. And I recently started hanging out in the My Opera IRC channels, too: #myopera, #opera, #operamini, and #idlerpg for the most part. I currently occupy 6th place in Idle RPG!
It feels good to know I have a number of Opera desktop, mobile, and web site developers right at my fingertips. I can contact them on the forums, send them private messages, and even chat in real time in the IRC channels. You really can't get that level of service anywhere else!
We're more than just the sum of individuals here. The My Opera community is exactly that - a community.
