I don't know how they kept this a secret from me for so long, but I just found out that Counting Crows records every single live show they do and makes them available for download in mp3 or flac. This is so fucking awesome I can't even begin to describe it. I'm currently downloading the 9/30/08 show from Oak Mountain Amphitheater in Birmingham, which I attended. And yes, it rocked my face.

Incidentally, I also bought the new and improved "deluxe" edition of August & Everything After, the album that started it all. What's new and improved about it? In addition to all of the normal tracks, this new album includes another cd and 19 extra tracks in all. Besides that, it comes with a long set of liner notes where Adam apparently explains in detail the rise and fall and rise again of Counting Crows.

Unfortunately, the cd is sitting in the apartment office right now because I'm a retard and forgot to go get it today. In related news, UPS sucks a fat one for delivering it straight to the office (not my apt) at 5pm yesterday (when I was here) and not leaving me any kind of note.

Probably can't even get it tomorrow because I'm leaving in the morning to go see Bear Country with Candice!
