I recently had a reader say something about "foreign lorries" in a comment and it reminded me of a story I heard. It went like this:
The Kentucky Foreign Object
This trucker was driving through Kentucky when he stopped at a diner for lunch.
The little waitress brought him his soup.
"Hey lady", the trucker yelled
"There is a foreign object crawling around in my soup!"
The waitress looked in the bowl and said,
"Naw, that ain't foreign. Them critters live around here."

In Louisiana, I've seen the cook hit the pot with a big spoon and yell "GET BACK IN THERE!"
