An Earth Sojourner

I am but a shadow that passes quickly over this earth, and only a few will remember me when I'm gone. Some will morn my passing, others will be indifferent.
I only pray that I will have left a legacy of integrity with those who will remember me, and a reputation as an honest man to those who are indifferent.
I arrived on earth with nothing, and I will take nothing with me when I leave. My soul came from God, and will return to God.
As I travel upon life's oceans, my guide is Jesus Christ. He is the light that shows The Way, and the lighthouse is the symbol of His guidance through the seas of trouble, and sorrow.
This earth is not my home, I am only here for a short time, therefore I am but a sojourner, and a wayfaring stranger, while traveling through this world below.
Though I travel through a sea of trouble and sorrow, I have joy in my heart, knowing that I have with me, those who love me, and a God who loves me more.
