I love close ups because you can get some great patterns from just a tiny part of any everyday objects! Quite often people ask me: What is this? Where did you see this? It can be the rim of a dish, the texture of some paper, anything.

I also like to look through things and watch the different shapes and forms that appear before my eyes. Or reflections too. It's like when you are a child and you stare at clouds and they constantly change shape and colour very slowly or you play and try to interpret their various shapes!
