dearest queen heart - Yes we got quite a surprise when he talked to us. We were walking by that pond. Unicorn was resting and we decided to explore a bit, but Unicorn had warned us and said:

"Walk in peace and be at ease but do not stray beyond the trees"

smile Unicorn is always very protective of us isn't he? smile

I knelt down to scoop up some water and then I heard you exclaim "King, do come and see what is here beneath this tree, by the pond bank, come and see"
You spoke to me in a rhyme sentence and I smiled because this was lovely to hear.
I came to your side and there - lo and behold! Was this most cheerful looking frog, playing with a pink flutterby and two other bugs. But when the frog said, in a deep but clear voice, "Hi, I'm Freddy are you ready?" We both looked amazed and delighted. Then he went on to say:

"If you're ready to play with Freddy we can all have lots of fun! Me and my friends the little bugs are happy here and we share hugs."

Then he told us that once long ago he helped the Wise Owl escape after The Bad Shadow trapped the Wizard in a spelljar. For this The Wise Owl granted the gift of speech to Freddy and also gave him everlasting happiness by the pool with his three friends, Pinky Flutterby, LadySpottyBug and WrigglyRonald.

It was such a lovely afternoon that day as we talked to Freddy and his friends.
As we rode off we could hear Freddy singing:

sing" Come back again, come back again, when you return we shall be here and we shall dance and hop and prance and we shall sing and we shall cheer! A Froggy's life is a wonderful thing with his buggly friends and never ending!" sing

We both smiled so happily as we waved to all four of them and proceeded on our way, continuing our journey and our further adventure in The Secret Garden...
