Wow! smile king love 's these new pics happy king especially the pics of Princess Lea queen heart - they are lovely and show you in all of your radiant beauty and the joy of your smiles there. And the several different aspects of the place where you stayed are delightful. I remember the Kampungs of Penang, they are similar to these that you show here smile

LéazzBabyJay99 Saturday, December 20, 2008 11:21:01 AM

Hi king heart yes it is similar to those kampung in Penang but there's no electricity here they use generators and each house they have tanks of water to fill in smile I dont think I am able to live there without internet.. But the air is very refreshing. smile

Loku (John) .....lokutus-prime lokutus-prime Saturday, December 20, 2008 11:28:45 AM

Hi queen heart The pictures convey a sense of that - not the lack of internet - but the refreshing air and such beauty of surroundings smile

Loku (John) .....lokutus-prime lokutus-prime Saturday, December 20, 2008 11:31:39 AM

The pic of the old lady in the shop is intriguing. It makes one wonder who she is, waht her life is and what it has been... I guess she earns her living as best as she can.

Loku (John) .....lokutus-prime lokutus-prime Saturday, December 20, 2008 11:34:39 AM

queen heart - The pottery looks good. Are they famous throughout the region for making these and are they based on a traditional design?

LéazzBabyJay99 Saturday, December 20, 2008 11:41:37 AM

king heart yes it is I dont need my ventolin there I can have fresh oxygen lol That old lady seller yes I purchase thing from here, I dont know why maybe because she is very kind and smiling. After I snapped her pix, she smiled so sweetly she is not like the other seller, she looks very poor and that was why I support her biz. smile The potter yes they are famous in Sabah and Sarawak and they only use their own traditional design.

Fantastic photo tour Lea. Breathing fresh air is wonderful. When I visited my daughter in North Dakota, the air was so cool and refreshing, better than Phoenix, Arizona air.

I love the pottery and bamboo wind chimes. The sound the chimes make is relaxing. Masks, for some reason, are a little scary to me and I could not have them on the walls in my house. Now if they were to ward off evil spirits, I might hang them outside by my doors and windows. I'm not sure where that fear came from. It is like some people's fear of clowns. Of course, I wouldn't have a clown mask on my wall either.

I don't think I could live without internet either.

Thank you for sharing your trip with us.

Mad Scientistqlue Saturday, December 20, 2008 12:46:53 PM

Internet can be got anywhere for a price. solar panels and satellite phones are the way to go. up.

Glad you enjoy it.

LéazzBabyJay99 Saturday, December 20, 2008 12:56:46 PM

Greetings Sir Aadil, your remedy really help my throat thank you. Oh yes if the price is right. According to the tour guide Sabah is the second poor state in Malaysia, that's why there are no solar panels or satelite phones there. We are lucky huh.

Love the tour and the photos are lovely. I have often read - and wondered - about how people survived with no electricity. I suppose the people in the village you showed must make candles to light their way at night. Did the village have a name?

LéazzBabyJay99 Saturday, December 27, 2008 8:41:41 AM

Yes it has, it's called Nabalu Village. All these people stayed at the foot of the Mount Kinabalu. It cooling and you can breath fresh air. They use candles and kerosine lights to lite up their cosy house. There are many vegetables farm up the hill and they live by selling these vegetables. And according to the local guy, these people are usually elderly man/woman and the oldest about 95++. I guess it's the fresh air that they breathe.
