beloved Lea

I see the sun-at-midnight here
over a darkened sea unclear.
I see the beauty in your art,
I see love from a loving heart

A mermaid swims in ink dark sea
and the midnight sun is her lantern free.
She is the spirit of all that is here
in the darkling waters and she sees clear.

All these things I look and see
and I give thanks to heaven for thee.
Paint on sweet Princess Queen, paint on
and give the treasure of your song.

Such is the sweetness in this thing
that I kneel to thee and am your King,
lost in a wonder at what I see,
bowing to Lea on my bended knee

i am blushing. the fact is that i am an ordinary guy but i have the honor to be Lea's "King Loku" and her "Prince" here in this wonderful castle. i'm not usuallly lost for words, but i will say here and now that i am deeply deeply honored and proud to be in Lea's company and to write verse against her beautiful illustrations. thank you beloved Lea for this honor and for what you say about me here. i am LP, trying to be a Writer and you make me feel like a real King ...thank you for this beloved Lea
