Is There Still Hope?

With my generation there’s just no hope left… It’s like every teenager needs to curse after every other word they say. Come on people wake up! When you talk like that it doesn’t make anyone think any better of you, maybe less of you, but certainly not more.
There’s also no respect coming from them, you know that old saying “Respect your elders”… I just feel like I’m just a loner I try my hardest to make some sort of a difference, but when it’s so hard to find someone else who also really cares…
There was an actual time when everyone had something or someone to believe in to have faith in, but now is it truly getting that rare to find?
Ok don’t get me wrong there are still really great people out there, it’s just you have to take the challenge in trying to find them or are you just going to take whatever everyone else is into? Or whatever you see is easiest to find?
Don’t always be a follower! At times that can be a good place, but when you truly want to make a difference or get something done you have to take the lead. If you see something wrong or someone in trouble don’t go thinking “Oh someone else will fix it” or “Someone else will come along”, yes these may be true. Then again you can be the one who fixes the problem or saves someone’s life or makes a difference in the future, may it be large or small it’s still a difference and you can be the one who made that difference.
Think about certain crimes that people do, (never mind don’t try to strain your brain I’ll do it for you) they steal, rape, molest, murder, do drugs, and many other things, but when you really think about it these people are selfish. They’re always thinking “Me. Me. Me. It’s all about me.” (Ok yeah, I know this may not be exactly what they’re thinking, but you get what I mean, right?) They’re selfish, as they only think of themselves when they do crimes such as I had mentioned. They don’t think about the ones around them, the people who really care about them, so when they do things such as this it really affects their loved ones, but most of all it affects them. Think about it these people were actually children once, you know, when they cried they had their parents to hold them, to say to them “It’s alright I’m here” or simply by saying those three powerful words to make it all better “I love you”. No matter who you are or where you are there is always someone that cares about you that really loves you. When people indulge themselves into crimes like this it never makes their life any better. Maybe when doing drugs it makes you forget about your problems, but as soon as it wears off the problems have only grown, as for now that person has an addiction or worse they end up dead. With the other crimes you may end up getting away with it... For the time being, but you will get caught you will get your punishment and you will get exactly what you deserve.
When you have a problem try to talk it out with someone may it be a friend, family member, or a loved one, you just can’t let your problem(s) grow.
