Well, the journey on the train from Southampton to Cardiff was hell! I was so bored! 3 hours of watching scenery! But then having to put up with a similar length journey from Cardiff to Milford haven was dyer! Ok, so I had my ipod and phone so I wasn't too bored, but getting stuck at the services because no one could get up the icey slope! For god sake! You would have thought they would have at least TRIED to clear some of it?! But no. After we got up, first try, we headed of.
Eventually we made it to dad's and had a good week: Sunday - Thursday, nothing but fun times: We met new people, fed robins who landed in the palms of our hands. discovered frozen lakes! The ice was 2 inches thick, at least! Not foolish enough to stand on it, but it was fun sitting on the bridge, with our feet in wellies, smashing the ice. Also went to the beach, not to sun bathe, but to walk the dog, but its a great place for finding rock pools! but instead of finding craps and fish in the freezing water, we found a couple of crab corpse... but, that's not the good part. The bit that took all our breathe away was looking up the cliff edge's at the huge icicles hanging there. from where the water had run through the earth. But as it slowly melted, it dripped and refroze. Where it had all hit freezing rocks below, the water droplets had turned back to ice in the oddest way imaginable. each drop froze individually, so it looked like fish scales covering the rocks! So beautiful!
We also had an early Christmas... Two new hats, a CD, a bomber jacket, lots of chocolate, fluffy slipper boots and some odd looking leather glove thingys. Perfect. Harry, My brother, was all too fascinated by three particular gifts he'd received: cribbage, something about pigs which I can't remember the name of, and a book of conspiracies. I won the pig game! Rules: roll the two little pig things like dice. The different positions they land in are worth different points: e.g. standing upright is 5 points. First one to 100 points wins. I always win!
After an eventful week, we headed back down to Cardiff, back on the train, and home again. Got home later than planned, But that wasn't my issue. The issue was, I'd been given the small suitcase, and my brother who is younger than I, had the bigger suitcase, therefore, anything that had nowhere to go, would go in his bag, making it heavier. So he had to take my bag while I took his. Unfortunately, I'm not as strong as I am after a few liter's of alcohol, and couldn't get the bag from the bagage area, so some lovely looking gentleman helped me.
Corr, I would. I would.
Well, there you go. My journey to wales and back again and the time in between. Hope you had fun reading my nonsense, and I#ll try to post more soon. Toodles! x
