RAIN!!

I awoke at 4 AM this morning to torrents of RAIN and claps of THUNDER! Then I suddenly remembered that the day before I had put my new potted plant on the balcony!!! It is a small plant and I didn't want it to get flooded! I rushed to the balcony and saw another unpleasant surprise!

I LEFT MY FUZZY PINK CHAIR ON THE BALCONY TOO!!!!!

Blast! Luckily, the fan I bought late last night at Wal-Mart (for the sake of airing out my fume-y apartment caused by me starting on my newest art project!) AIR-DRIED my little chair. *Phew!*

But now I need to find a new place to paint because I will be getting a new roommate soon! That spare bedroom I so wanted to turn into Becky's Creativity Hub is now off-limits and must be cleared out!! And I guess I have to learn how to share my Nintendo!

Yep, it was a real tussle, too! I was on a walk the other evening, and there were a bunch of MALLARDS going at it! Two were just rolling and tumbling and nipping (or maybe I should say beaking?), and two others were standing around quacking them on! So then I ran up to them, waved my arms and broke up the fight! I hate to see duck conflict!

GEEZ! Today has been spaz week for Beeks! First, I thrust my head into the cabinet above the phone as I was reaching for it, then when I picked up the phone I moved it towards my face too fast and cut my lip, and then I spilled tomato juice all over my car! AND I collided with someone in the bathroom! It's...it's like I'm wearing that unlucky mask in Animal Crossing that makes me trip all the time!!

The other day was my first day of volunteering at the Humane Society! I really, REALLY thought it was just going to be a fabulous morning of rolling around with puppies and kittens, brushing them, petting them, walking them...but NO! I was needed in the surgery prep room instead, holding dogs' legs open for shaving, watching a limp labrador pee all over the table, and having not one, but TWO dog uteruses thrust at me!! "Are you squimish around blood?" asked the doctor. "YES!!!" I said! "Have you seen a DOG'S UTERUS before?" and then holds some entrails out in front of me! And then it happened again later!!! I don't think they want me to come back or something, they are trying to scare me away!!!

I was getting ready to hem a pair of pants today, so I was reaching down to the floor of my room to pick up my sewing box when GGAAAAHHHH! THAT little stinker was hiding under my box, just...just waiting to spring out and bite me! I thought it to be the spawn of Gohma, seeing that just minutes before I had battled that boss in Zelda. But anyway! My concern of spiders in my basement room is growing because the other day I found a smaller one IN MY SHEETS. I think it was dead!---but GUH! *shudders violently*. This makes my need to move out even more pressing!!

Everybody votes--except me!

I have a small bit of beef with the Everybody Votes! channel on the Wii. So far, I've enjoyed simple questions like "Do you brush your teeth before or after breakfast?" or "Would you rather have a house on the beach or on a mountain?" These are questions everyone can answer, which is why they call it the Everybody Votes! channel! Fo' sho'!

But then Nintendo springs the question "Who will be the next American Idol?" I don't know how to answer that, I don't watch that show! For Pete's sake! And then I felt sad that I could not rightfully participate in the daily survey that I have so enjoyed. Will Nintendo poll me next on the latest Grey's Anatomy happenings? I would rather it stuck with universal questions like "Which is more cuddly, kittens or puppies?"
